SlyLS1 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) OK, time to stop lurking. This shall be my first post. I present The White Pearl. Based on Lego's Black Pearl, the challenge for myself was to use only black and white pieces. Not sure how to post more pics either. Edited January 26, 2016 by Phred Quote
SlyLS1 Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Can a Mod please delete this thread until i sort out the pic attachments? Edited January 25, 2016 by SlyLS1 Quote
Jim Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Hi, We don't delete topics, so let's focus on getting your pictures online I recommend using Bricksafe or Flickr to host your images. You can embed images (max 1024 pixels wide) here by using the image address provided by the hosting service. Using a hosting service has the advantage of being able to upload a hi-res version and using a scaled down version to embed here. Hope this helps. Quote
SlyLS1 Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 I have images hosted on another forum and have a VBB or HTML code but it wont let me upload (im guessing because its not a .jpeg etc type extension). Is there a way to use either of those URLs? Quote
Jim Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 You can use BB-code on this forum. Simply press the top left button in the editor and paste the BB-code. HTML is not allowed. Otherwise you need the image address (ending with .jpg or .png) and use the "insert image button" (bottom row, somewhere in the middle). Quote

Staslegomaster Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Hopefully we'll see a sea battle between the Black and White Pearls!. By the way there are grey pearls, too. Kep on building! Quote
SlyLS1 Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 Yes, sorry guys, looks like i'll have to organise a Flickr account :) Quote
kurigan Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Well you promised a “White Pearl” and certainly delivered. Though I like what I see, it’s a nice take and clever use or the Friends hull, I do wish the pic we finally did get was bigger. The white with black accents gives a ghostly air all her own. Thanks for sharing, do pleas update us if you get that flickr account going. Quote
Captain Dee Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 PICS!! Or a single photo anyway... You can always count on Phred! She looks beautiful in white - as kurigan said, she does indeed have a ghostly air about her. But it's really quite charming apart from the fact that half the shrouds are missing (and yes, I understand why from the photo.) I dare say it looks better than solid black by a sizeable margin. Good work. Quote
