Myers Lego Technic Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 That beast is huge! Can't wait to see it in stores. It looks like a nice set though, with all the bucket. Those pieces would sure be helpful in many other situations. Quote
legobeast73 Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 when i find out where it will be in stores i am camping out lol Quote
Mathiacus Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 When I first saw this set I decided I was getting two. I didnt see it as anything other than an offical gbc module. thankfully my wife has already approved the purchase of two up to $500aud each. Is a slippery slope but the volvo and the arocs were $370 each. Quote

Kaanere Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Looks like the Xerion has a bigger age rating than the BuWeEx. Maybe from added complexity of the steering mechanism? Quote
JJ2 Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 looks like a new yellow gear or new gear driving the bucket wheel. Quote
Gnac Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Most likely weird lighting on one of the furthermost rack quadrants. Quote
zux Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 That's the second O gear-ring from the other side of bucket wheel. Quote
Beard Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) Comparing this and the earlier box art, it's like one of those games where you try finding differencies between two pictures . There are quite many. Edited April 24, 2016 by Beard Quote
N-4K0 Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 I can't wait to get my hands on this set once it's released Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Is the bucket a newer version of the older version, the mountings and detailing look different? Quote
CM4Sci Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Oh, right, yeah, I found the final box art for this but it's got a watermark. Cool catalog, where is that from? Quote
merman Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 So did they ditch the white truck? It is no longer in the picture Quote
Saberwing40k Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 The catalog picture is preliminary, so it is less recent than the toy fair models, so no, the white truck is still included. Although, I find the truck to be an odd addition, as mining trucks like that are pretty much never used with bucket wheel excavators, and the two models are pretty clearly out of scale with each other, with the truck being much too small. The excavator and the truck should have roughly the same cab size, but the truck has a cab that would be to scale about the size of a dishwasher, much too small for a person. We've seen catalog photos for everything thus far, aside from the 42056 Porsche. Has anyone else tried exploring the index, and seeing if there is anything in there? I have, but turned up nothing. dr_spock Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Some ideas for MODs, a dump truck batch loading unit? http://youtu.be/xjHfdiSSxg0 Quote

Jim Posted April 25, 2016 Author Posted April 25, 2016 any chances of 42055 out before august we want it LOL I know there's a bunch of (useless) posts already, but can we minimize these kind of posts?! no more updates until product release? And these! I think the reason for the useless posts, that the members can't wait for August to arrive and are excited about getting their dirty paws on a 4000 piece set (remember you could not wait for Christmas morning to arrive) so they want to talk about it. No matter how pointless the conversation, "are we there yet, are we there yet?" Exactly. And no matter how anxious we are; let try to avoid posting the same "are we there yet" questions. Quote

Boulderer Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 I'm always keen to see sets with a common scale, so they can be (dis)played with each other effectively. Other than the dump truck, that is included with 42055, does anyone have any ideas what else TLG could produce in coming years, on a similar scale? Quote
