A lot. You can physically get 6 axles (1/2 stud offset in one direction) through the newest 56 tooth turntable (the one without inner teeth) but the problem is getting these to work with the rotating turn table

Yes, that is the biggest problem I currently see and I am really curious for the solutions that will be presented. I imagine mechanisms similar to 8043, but beefed up significantly to provide the rotating axles.

The B model only allow one direction of the battery box, just like the A model. There are 2 switches, one in the back, one in the front. At first I thought they are all connected to 1 switch that changes the function, but since the battery box is limited to 1 direction, now I think the 2 switches are connected to 2 functions separately (moving and filtering).

Come to think of it, the only thing that the box says about the B-model is "motorized conveyor belts". I'm starting to suspect that maybe the B-model doesn't actually have a motorized sorting function. Maybe the bricks can be sorted, but manually, with a gear knob or a crank to move the filter.

from local Argos this morning, on sale a week early.

In the old days screening was done with just a mesh the required size, it doesn't take much to separate the large from the small. The difficult part is to prevent the screen from being overloaded and the small parts overflowing onto the chute for the larger.

I am interested in whether the Volvo loader will reach the bin, and how much would actually fall into the bin, I am thinking it may need a conveyor to load it.

I think axles, they would give a slightly wider gap than beams

My suspicion grows stronger when I looked back on the preliminary B-model. The prelim box says "motorized conveyor belts and sorting of bricks", while the official box only says "motorized conveyor belts". Besides, there's a gear near the pit in the prelim model, but no gear spotted so far in the high-res official one.

Maybe the B-model used to be able to sort bricks, motorized-ly. But that function was dropped. :-<

The sorting function is indicated in the box. It doesn't say it, but it has it pictured:

Picked mine up from argos yesterday afternoon, also picket up the Volvo EW160E and a second blue crawler crane set to use as parts to modify my current crawler crane. Two evenings solid building and have the BWE complete! Must say I was doubtful whether I would like the model from pictures and reviews but in the flesh it really does look impressive and am very pleased with it! One thing that needs altering is the length of the second conveyor, feel its too short and out of proportion so that will be altered soon as I work out what to do.

That's pretty quick delivery. Now the important question: Does it work as a GBC module?

If the store had been open I could have collected in less than 1 hour !!

Each local store now appears to have one in stock which replenished from the local depot overnight.

Argos in the UK seem to get advance delivery of new lego products.

Price remained the same at £179.99 despite the fall in the value of the UK £.

Now studying the instruction book befor commence building.

I am not sure I understand what you mean.

The belt works also as a chain in order to rotate the bucket wheel. And the quadrant racks rotate with the wheel.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I was referring to the wedge belt disks on the bottom of the superstructure. When the superstructure rotates, those disks slide on the quadrants attached to the base. I was asking that, when the disks slide on the quadrants, do they rotate around their own axles?
