Jim Posted May 31, 2016 Author Posted May 31, 2016 How do the new wheel arches fit with the unimog wheels? Since the rims already have been posted all over the Internet, I think I can answer this one
technic_addict Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 (edited) Since the rims already have been posted all over the Internet, I think I can answer this one What is the grey wheel to the left of the Porsche wheel? NVM.... Edited May 31, 2016 by technic_addict
SNIPE Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 (edited) That is a unimog rim with a 42000 tire on it. Edited May 31, 2016 by SNIPE
sm1995 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Since the rims already have been posted all over the Internet, I think I can answer this one Ah! can't wait for your review. I'm probably more excited for that than the actual set lol. You always deliver the most beautiful photographs But this really goes to show how much better looking the Porsche rims are compared to the standard Technic rims. That fender on the power puller wheel looks atrocious.

That fender on the power puller wheel looks atrocious. I agree that they look better, but the connection from the heart to the rim is not very thick. I don't know how much force it can handle and i don't expect it to be weak but yeah, the normal ones look more firm
Jim Posted May 31, 2016 Author Posted May 31, 2016 That is a unimog rim with a 42000 tire on it. If I'm not mistaken, that's just a matter of black vs grey, not a different type of rim.
MRP_ Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Huh! Imo the arch fits the unimog tire better than the porsche one...
dr_spock Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I want Porsche rims on my Unimog. I wonder how much will they be on Bricklink or Bricks and Pieces.

SNIPE Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 (edited) Didn't the 42000 rims have the 6 holes or am I getting confused. Edited May 31, 2016 by SNIPE
Saberwing40k Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 (edited) i don't think the Porsche rims are the same size as the Unimog rims, they appear to be bigger. Also, I don't know if the portal axle pieces will fit. It also might be a thing where Lego does not sell licensed parts. You'll still probably find them on Bricklink, though. Edit, Also, to eliminate confusion, the 42000 set has rims with six holes, but it is the same diameter of the one with 3 holes, as those are variants of the same part. zux Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 (edited) Didn't the 42000 rims have the 6 holes or am I getting confused. It doesn't matter, the rim/disk size is the same. There were both options available for 42000. It was a transition time when 6 hole wheels were introduced and applied on 42000, Unimog. Edited May 31, 2016 by zux
Jim Posted May 31, 2016 Author Posted May 31, 2016 Saberwing and zux are right. There was a transition to the 6-hole variant. Okay, I am contemplating on pooring myself another Johnnie Black and waiting another hour to publish my review

jlsm511 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Anyone hearing about a last minute delay? People on the Lego subreddit are claiming S@H is telling people that the release is being pushed back, and I called and they told me that it was being delayed for an unspecified reason for an unspecified period of time. Anyone have any insight?
