I am relatively new here so I shall start by showing off my latest model that's actually finished. I really like this car so I had to make it and I posted it on LEGO IDEAS so if you like the model please support it

Original colors and removable stiff roof can be replaced by imitation of folded convertible roof

I photoshopped it here by changing the colour to preferable medium azure.

engine and it can be easily removed

i saw this already on flickr and i think it's awesome, very colorful and very cool modularity with the engine and roof types.

Also all those details like the spare wheel and gearshifter are nice touches

Hey thanx a bunch. Not a lot of people noticed the gearshifter/crowbar. Much appreciated. :sweet:

Vibor, your version of Karman Ghia is very nice:wub:, but IMHO your model is more suited to scale modeling subtheme

Really surprised this didn't go the distance also, it deserves to have done. It's a beautiful build that I can see in the shops and selling well.

Danz, welcome to EB. Bumping 7 month old topic just to ask for a instructions is not very welcomed thing to do. You can see for yourself that builder was not active on EB for 3 months. In that case, it is better to try to find him on Ideas, Flickr etc, instead of bumping old topic. Thanks.

That said, this car deserves to be bumped, because it's awesome! I don't know the original/reference, but I love all the curves on it. It all flows very smooth. Clever part usage on the wheel arches.

I also think this would fit great in the Scale Modeling board.

I agree, this thread deserves to be bumped, because it is a great model! I just noticed, the gearshift is a sausage, and the door handles are pistols and the exhaust is flick-fire missiles. Very creative use of parts. I realize the original poster has not been here for some time, but this model is still very clever!

First of all. Sorry for not being active here. I will be more active this year. Thanx all for liking my model. Yes, it didn't make it in the LEGO IDEAS although it would've been a great addition to the existing lineup of VW cars LEGO turned into models but what the heck.

Andy - Gearshift is not a sausage, it's a minifig crowbar
