Yes, I know... The CCC's been over for some one month. This is my last entry - but now I present it to you in the fully finished and refined form.

This is my next attempt, after last year's 'Tower of the Storms', to build a sinister-looking place. The clue feature here are the shingle roofs with black minifig flippers. I finally managed to collect a considerable amount of those - and still, a handful more would come in handy. :)

At the moment when I submitted this to the contest, there was no interior yet. Instead, only some random yellow and red techni bricks scaffolding (as always). I decided to rebuild the castle completely - starting with the ground level, up to the roof. I hope the effect was worth the effort.

Oh wauw, that’s an amazing build!

The exterior looks great, love the roofs and the little tower. The trees, cave and swamp are a perfect setting for it.

But that interior! Damn, that is just amazeballs!

It was such a treat to look at these pics! The level of detailing is amazing. And the vaulted ceiling, staircase and gravity defying turret - so so good.

Such an amazing creatio both outside and inside! Before the first LEGO Pirates sets were issued, LEGO Castle was the most impressive series of all. And your marvelous, classic looking creation proves - why. The combination of stone and wood looks great. I like the playability of your creation and that you combined a few different ideas in one set. And I like the story, too. LEGO has a few vampire mini figures - which is your favourite one?

I always liked gothic (style) stuff.

Great build, with a lot of nice details.

I like the 'hanging' tower', and the interior is great. Nice color scheme too with that light blue

And those shields and big axes on the wall are cool.

I commented on Classic-Castle already, but I'll add to that here: your interior looks great overall and has the small details that really make it stand out, like the shields on the wall, and crossed axes

Plus a great chandelier and plenty of candles

Wow. I can't really add much to the discussion besides agreeing with the others about how amazing this is! I particularly like the chandelier, which along with the candles and pole arms really creates a perfect Gothic feel. But I'm constantly amazed by how expert MOCers such as yourself can create such incredible exteriors...I have a long way to go...

Hi!

Wow, that's a really nice build - though the light grey colour scheme seems a bit "friendly" for Dracula's castle. That could have been a bit "darker". The hanging tower looks very nice and fits perfect to the whole architecture of your MOC.

The details inside the castle are well done - especially the stairs have something special.

In fact, I've never been much into the official figs. The only one I know is the one from Collectible Minifigures that I have (and whose hair I used here). Only the head wasn't entirely suiting in my opinion, so I replaced it with the green one.

I have a long way to go...

Hah, this is the very thing I sometimes repeat to myself. There'll always be some MOCs and techniques that I admire, so why not get inspired?

Besides, I've seen a oouple of your works and there's really no reason to underrate oneself :)

Thanks for the comments, I'm always glad to hear some!

And I'll have to agree that the castle could be a tiny bit darker and more sinister. Apparently I was lacking some color between LBG and DBG.

Wooh! *oh2*

That looks huge. *oh2*

I really like the style of the castle.

Great job.

The interior looks good. The stairs look really nice and the candle stands are great.

The weapons and shield display looks good.
