So this year I want to make an intelligent LEGO Robot that's the size of a human. While I build it I want to take videos of its progress and get feedback etc

Here is my progress so far

Your project interests me enormously. In general, reasonable projects do not interest me much.

Why do you not persevere in the humanoid with a spinal column like you've already done.

There the body looks like a wall and I do not understand where you're going.

Thanks for the feedback, So far I have only done structure so looks and improvements to come :)

I am going to keep this going until people are not interested

I will probably do a video of testing movement, arm, tablet, and head work. Then we can start looking in to the robot seeing things (OpenCV, PixyCam)

Whats peoples views on either making a LEGO Head or one with a InMoov face (example below)

OK, has anyone done a nice Mindstorms head, I remember seeing a Chappie one

Not very nice, but...

GAAAAAAAH SWEET LORD FOR THE SAKE OF ALL WHO HAVE DIED IN THE UNCANNY VALLEY KILL IT WITH FIRE

(if you couldn't guess I think that's kinda creepy)

Reminds me of a Meccano humanoid, that came out only few months ago. Though it does not have the same 'flexibility' as building with Lego, it has a promising 'brick' and 4 servos ... and you can get it on sale at some Walmart stores for barely $40.

Amazing progress!

But I have a question, aren't the shoulders too high? Maybe it is the photo, bit I don't think those EV3 blocks look good up there.
