Hinckley Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Those new mudguards look sweet! ARe those new curved slope tiles too? Or is that just the angle of the shot? Quote
Asuka Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Wow, thanks Sinner, this line really becomes more and more interesting to me.... Hot racing cars, a hot chick, and this one guy in the red truck looks indeed a little like John Goodman to me.... 8-| :'-) *y* Quote
Corpreal363 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Wait... Wachowski Brothers? Thats gonna be AWESOME for a kids movie. Quote
Siegfried Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 And again, a shooting cannon...But those cars are awesome! Thank you Sinner! My pleasure. I was annoyed to see the cannon too. I was hoping that 2007 was the last year I would see them. :-/ EDIT: I just realised that this new windshield would be right on for the SW speeder one 8- Quote
natelite Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 off topic: hey sinner - can you please scan a high res pic of the troll wheel and post in the troll wheel thread ? on topic: i thought everyone likes 4 stud wide cars and 6 stud wide trucks. i counted and this is 8 stud wide! :-P i guess we'll be moving soon to 12-16 stud wide trucks and helicopters...wooohooo... X-D X-D X-D X-D alright, alright, i'll not rain on anyone's parade. really hoping for the japanese fans to make a chibi scale of this theme's cars. hopefully in 4 stud wide so i can "copy" their method and incorp into my town. :-P :-D as for shooting contraption, i'm okay with them, but the scale has got to be reduced. it's just too large right now. something in the size of the pirate's shooting cannon would be ideal. everything about lego is getting too large for my liking. Siegfried Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 off topic: hey sinner - can you please scan a high res pic of the troll wheel and post in the troll wheel thread ? Gladly; I'll give it a go "tomorrow". It's 11:16 pm here and I have to get up early tomorrow. :-/ EDIT: Done! Quote
Batbrick Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Thanks for these pics Sinner, I might have to pick up a cuople of the cheaper sets. Those minifigs look cool and will expand my fleshie neighborhood, as for the cars, I spy a slopes package! :'-) Clearly Batbrick's mind has turned to mush! *wacko* Quote
Corpreal363 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Wait I just realized... NO MONKEY!!!! *sing* Why Lego, WHY???? Quote
Hewman Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Wait I just realized... NO MONKEY!!!! *sing* Why Lego, WHY???? I'm sure I saw a monkey climbing up a pole in the starting grid set. Quote
jedikermit Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I'm sure I saw a monkey climbing up a pole in the starting grid set. He's there. Quote
iamded Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I like the new mudguards, especially the ones on the truck. And yay, a monkey! :-D ~Peace Quote
Batbrick Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 (edited) I like the new mudguards, especially the ones on the truck. And yay, a monkey! :-D ~Peace ___________ Yeah, monkeys are always welcome! :'-) I really like that big set, but I'm not gonna make the mistake with getting this line or the new police station next year that I made this year with the aquaraider sets. I now have about 5 sets I want to get, and no money! |-/ I'll pick up one or two of the smaller ones AFTER I've finshed off castle, batman, indy, exo-force and city. But still, slopes! (insert drool emoticon here) Clearly Batbrick's mind has turned to mush! *wacko* Edited December 13, 2007 by Batbrick Quote
Lasse D Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I think the white racer from the big set looks very interesting given the pointy Le Mans-prototype like look. These sets seem to be great for curved slopes, but that new mudguard has a little too much flairings in a single piece for my likings - to use pieces like that tend to standardize the vehicles too much. iamded Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Oh, thanks for the pics Sinner! I didn't see those! :-D ~Peace Quote
Wout Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Thanks for the pics Sinner *y* :-) @ Yoda: It looks like Trixie/Cristina Ricci has the normal black Harry P. hair. I have not so much with racecars but these are looking very good. I must only see they sell it in the Netherlands. Quote
xwingyoda Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 @ Yoda: It looks like Trixie/Cristina Ricci has the normal black Harry P. hair. You're probably right there ;-) Just seems weird to use that hairpiece on a hottie :-D *yoda* Quote

iamded Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 (edited) Thanks legomilk! These look great, but I'll be getting Castle. ;-) The minifigs aren't as exciting as I expected. :-/ Still, the cars look nice. But look at the slopes on the front of the orange car. Are those all stickers? ~Peace Edited December 25, 2007 by iamded Quote
