they have all 4 sets. either the sold out the rest or you missed them. $69.99 for the GP set, $39.99 for the truck vs racer x and $20.99 for the two smaller sets. target retails them at MSRP. all are found in the speed racer display aisle.

Shoot! But when were you last there? They might've restocked them the next day, because I trust my dad's eyes more than I trust mine... (not really, he trusts mine more than he trusts his :-P )

I wonder if the figs would be popular to sell; they're all new, from head to toe... 8-| But would it pay off?

Hm.. Those 20.00 sets don't look to bad. Racer X looks downright sexy.

I might order the Racer X and Tajeo over the week. Or the other snall one for the red helmet.

Picked up the Mach 5 set today, awesome stuff. Fantastic pricing, I guess the license didn't cost much or something, and the minifigs are great. anyone notice that speed racer's face looks more female though? I put a woman's hairpiece on "him" and wa-lah! We get a headstrong hottie

Picked up the Mach 5 set today, awesome stuff.

I might wait until after I've seen the film to get it, as I'll want to MOD it, and need to see the film to get a proper look at it in action (ie. the gadgets, etc.). If I was to buy them now, then they'd just sit there waiting to be MODed, and I'd have to leave the stickers off as well, so as not to be limited by their positioning when I'm MODing.

Anyone got a picture of Racer X's head print? I'm gonna buy a set for the windscreens and the minifig heads will influence my decision as to which of the 2 double-car sets to get.

I am inquiring about the set 8159 Racer X & Taejo Togokahn

I really like the design Taejo's shirt has on it. On the box it is just a red dragon. But all the pictures I have seen of the fig, he has two red striped going up the torso. I bought the set yesterday but was dissapointed to find I had the one with stripes. Is there anyway to get just a torso with the Red Dragon on it and not the stripes over it too?

I am inquiring about the set 8159 Racer X & Taejo Togokahn

I really like the design Taejo's shirt has on it. On the box it is just a red dragon. But all the pictures I have seen of the fig, he has two red striped going up the torso. I bought the set yesterday but was dissapointed to find I had the one with stripes. Is there anyway to get just a torso with the Red Dragon on it and not the stripes over it too?

Unfortunately, it appears that this is yet another instance of a good prototype that for some bizarre reason LEGO decided to change. If you look at a reference picture of the character, the actual minifigure's torso design resembles it less than the prototype did. Yes, I was disappointed about that too.
