I remember all the Viking sets went on sale. Should I expect the same with Aqua Raiders, Mars Mission(yuck), Exo-Force, and City?? I'm afraid if I wait too long, they'll cancel them..... Hey, and if you all feel like sharing, what set(s) do you want but don't need? I mean, I never seem to find a lot round me, but that's because there's not much of a Lego selection to actually reduce in price in the first place. I'd suggest to just keep checking in-store and the website of the shops near you, and check the bargain shops near you as well, I've found a few pleasant reductions in there. Oh, and the S@H Sales and Deals page. You never know what you might find...

Vikings was the exception, because the line was ending... the trick they're using these days is to create superpacks with some good selling, big set + a few les than interesting sets, like a train, a station and two rail packs in one huge pack. That seems to work pretty well...

That seems to work pretty well... There're a few hovering round TRU UK at the moment. They're both City stuff, made up of Rescue sets I believe. I've not really looked that closely though.

All these special Target / TRU offers in the US we don't have at all in Europe... For the 7776 - it was available for several months at amazon.de (german) for 20

Mine: 7776 Aqua Raiders 7786 Batman (for the plane) :-) Happy Halloween Soon Guys!!! *vader* tough luck buddy. the 7776 AR set is an exclusive. so that means your chances are limited. only available from TRU or LS (incl S@H). now we know TRU clearance sucks. the batman is slightly better. it doesnt retail in target or walmart either, but you have a third option, amazon.com. i love amazon's clearance. the 06 batman sets were going for between 60-75% d/c with free shipping above $25 purchase. how's that for a clearance party eh? problem with amazon though is ebay scalpers. you gotta be quick with the purchase. so that means keeping your eyes wide open and absolutely know when they do clearance sales. :-P
November 15, 200717 yr :-( Today I found out the answer...the best sets do not always go on sale. The Hoth Base 7666, Sail Barge 6210, and X Wing 6212 are now "not available" on Shop at Home USA...I would have purchased them sooner, but with Black Friday being so close, I was holding out for free shipping or some mild discounts. Oh well. The force was not with me. The moral of the story? If you really want a set, purchase it as soon as you can. Otherwise, know that you may find disappointment.
