Local Knowledge Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 So, if there will be no DLC for the Wii U version (again ), then why is there a Nintendo Network logo in the cover's upper-right corner? What else would it be needed for? If it is for DLC (fingers crossed) then there's no reason why there can't be a deluxe edition for Wii U. Also there's an interesting article here about the "exclusive content" other than The Force Awakens levels. Some will be new stories, like how Han Solo got the rathtars (and it seems like these will be canon. They've even named new planets!), and others will be based on books and comics, like the upcoming one about how C-3PO got his red arm. (I'll bet that's what the PlayStation exclusive "Phantom Limb" level will be) http://www.gameinfor...ovies-lore.aspx You forgot that LEGO Marvel's Avengers has DLC for the Wii U! Quote
Savage Oppress Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 we are 2-3 months from the game release, it is about time for another trailer or a gameplay demo. Quote

npgcole Posted March 21, 2016 Author Posted March 21, 2016 You forgot that LEGO Marvel's Avengers has DLC for the Wii U! Oh, it did? I never got that one. Well that gives me a little hope. Guess we'll just have to wait and see Quote
arc26 Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Have we had confirmation of voice acting in this game? I much preferred the miming done in the original LEGO Star Wars games to the new "movie dialogue with jokes in the background". Quote

The game will have voice acting, there was a tweet from John Boyenga, the actor for Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens a day after the trailer dropped that he was recording new voice lines for the game. Forresto Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 You know what I hope, with the wait between movies they should remake the Complete Saga and make it up to date both with the new gameplay and graphics of the more recent games and the most updated iterations of each mini figure. As much as I enjoyed the original games to death they're showing their age now, especially since most of the minifigures they had to create have already been made by Lego and are much better in real life. I absolutely loved Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, would love to see the amount of stuff you could do in that, which was ridiculous, in it as well. Quote
PenPlays Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 You see, as much as I'd love to have a "complete saga" game again, I'd really prefer if they'd wait until Episode IX is done to do that. That and release a Star Wars Rebels game. That series has SO MUCH level potential. Quote
ChiefPie Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 New trailer. Also if you preorder the deluxe edition you get TESB outfits. Quote
Ordinareo Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 (edited) The Empire Strikes Back and Jabba's Palace character packs confirmed. The Empire Strikes Back confirmed by trailer and the Jabba's Palace character pack confirmed to be GameStop Pre Order exclusive. Edited March 23, 2016 by Ordinareo Quote
npgcole Posted March 23, 2016 Author Posted March 23, 2016 (edited) The Jabba's Palace DLC pack is a preorder bonus for Wii U too! Looks like it will be getting DLC this time! But it also looks like I won't be getting the TESB one if it's just with the special edition. Here's the description of the Jabba's Palace DLC: "The dregs of the galaxy's criminal underworld come to LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens with Jabba's Palace Character Pack. This character pack includes the mighty Jabba the Hutt and his loyal retainers Bib Fortuna, Malakili and Gamorrean Guards, plus the bounty hunter Booush, dancer Oola, and Princess Leia in her Jabba's barge costume." EDIT: Oh, it as though Gamestop removed the DLC bonus for Wii U. Never mind. Edited March 23, 2016 by npgcole Quote
gamejutzu Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) So far it looks like the basic break and build stuff, so nothing new there. However, I do think having multiple ways to solve a problem is cool. I hope that it actually makes the level different rather than being there just because, and they don't actually have much effect on the game. I also like how there's a TPS in the game as well. Too bad you can't switch into this mode freely at any time (no one said you couldn't, but I know that won't happen). Edited March 24, 2016 by gamejutzu Quote

EDIT: Oh, it as though Gamestop removed the DLC bonus for Wii U. Never mind. Finally, we can play as Jabba the Hutt! (I was disappointed you couldn't in the original.) That would also be great if you could play as the rancor, but since this isn't mentioned in the description, you probably can't. Then again, Jabba might be a pointless character like Jar Jar that can't even attack. Quote

Then again, Jabba might be a pointless character like Jar Jar that can't even attack. It would be a shame if Jabba is only restricted to this exclusive pack and not available to the general public, as he'd be really fun to play as. Sadly, it seems like this is the case... Quote
The Lego Nolan Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 After finally seeing the movie, my hype level for this has increased by over 1000. Quote
Khscarymovie4 Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Over 200 characters will be playable in this game. Quote
Ordinareo Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 (edited) Over 200 characters will be playable in this game. And it was confirmed by Steve Thornton there will be unlockable characters from the first 6 films last month, wonder how no one posted it. https://twitter.com/...752393583206400 Edited April 2, 2016 by Ordinareo Quote
Ultron Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 That would also be great if you could play as the rancor, but since this isn't mentioned in the description, you probably can't. Seems weird he wouldn't be included. Fin Fang Foom can grow to massive proportions in Lego Marvel's Avengers and is probably the largest playable character in a Lego game. Although I can't imagine there being a hub as big as Manhattan in this game so maybe they won't include the "big" characters. Quote
Tariq j Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Maybe instead of playing as the Rancor you could ride it - that would still be good. Quote
Forresto Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 200 woah? That's a ridiculous amount. How many think a bunch are going to be kept behind somesortve paywall or DLC? I hope not but you never know with the gaming industry these days. Quote

Forresto Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 My big hope is that TFA game takes what Lego Star Wars III did in regards to replayability. I think the battles and the ability to explore the CIS ship after beating the Republic ship was a massive step in the right direction. There was this big central hub that had a lot one could do. For instance having to go to the bridge and switch systems in order to invade a system, and then play out the ensuing battle was really awesome. Hiding a bunch of actual additional levels behind gold brick walls was cool. I found myself coming back to levels and replaying them over and over unlike the other games. LSWIII to me was the best of the SW games so far. They need to take what they did with that further in a game where we get all the OT characters and settings we love . Quote
Tech Artist Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) Here are the latest pre-order bonuses. Gamestop is offering with the Deluxe edition, Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle 30279 Polybag, Jabba Character Pack, and the Empire Strikes Back Character Pack. PS4 and Xbox One only. If you go with Amazon Prime(if you have it) you get 20% off plus The Empire Strikes Back Character Pack. If you go with Gamestop, you get all those bonuses but this however is an extra $14 not including tax you'll have to pay. Personally, I'd rather have the $14. Don't get me wrong, the extra pack and polybag are cool but given my budget, it's just not worth it to me. I still gotta figure out how to come up with $56 anyhow.
