Jedi Jac Penguin lists three completely unknown Icons D2C sets for 2023, so there's a chance, but I suspect it will be next year before we get one. Release pattern so far has been 2 sets in a row, then a year off, then 2, then a year off, 2021 was a year off. so probably are getting one this year. except when it came to when the Haunted House came out, that's when the pattern diverged. given the space coaster leak, maybe something related? hopefully? we need more space themed stuff... Fairground Mixer - 2014 (retired 2016) Ferris Wheel - 2015 (retired 2018) no release - 2016 Carousel - 2017 (retired 2019) Rollercoaster - 2018 (retired 2021) no release - 2019 Haunted House - 2020 (retiring 2023) no release - 2021 Loop Coaster - 2022 My info comes from Brickset and yes I looked up all the sets and listed them here. And FYI, the space coaster comes with a space baby and a mini coin type ride! Edited May 1, 2023 by ncx Quote

It was already a must-buy, but that's even more terrific! Quote

I think the Loop Coaster diverged from the pattern due to Covid. 2021 seems like it would have been its release year. Quote
Lion King Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 Since they are doing Fairground sets every two year and Loop Roller Coaster is from 2022, I’m pretty sue we will see a new Fairground set this year. Quote

I hope so. Also hoping for something with a bit more movement than the haunted house which, aside from the small elevator, was a mostly static model. Something like a top spin or a big swinging pirate ship (ship about 12 studs wide minimum with an authentic mechanism to swing the ship, which is usually a car/truck tire that runs against the curved bottom of the ship) or a chair swing ride that's about the same size as the previous large carousel but rotates faster and lifts and tilts like a chair swing ride should Quote

There's a small Carousel (40741) available now (about the size of the retired Winter Village one). Friends is supposed to gets a waterpark, but the size of the mini-dolls will require customization likely. I'm interested in seeing the robot coaster to MOC different themed coasters, but that's because I already have 2 Space Coasters! One is Space, and the other is Western. Space Coaster does offer a small twirly as an official alt build, but only seats 2 :( Quote
Vilhelm22 Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 The Loop Coaster is also predicted to require this year which would otherwise leave us with nothing which hasn't happened since the range properly began (between Grand Carousel and Fairground Mixer there was a gap but I don't think the Grand Carousel really counts as it was before the regular series kicked off). Yes, it was on sale on Black Friday. I was going to skip it, but the same felt like too good an opportunity to pass up, so I went for it. Still prefer the original red and white coaster though. Quote

The fact that the fairground sets have less of a constant presence/release schedule than things like modulars or botanical sets doesn't mean they won't continue to be made. Quote

I meant to say that haunted House is already retired las year or so and this Loop Coaser would be retired later this year. If they would release ONE Fairground, then we would have one in 2025. I don’t know what they are up to but i do understand that the are doing smaller fairground-themed sets this year. Quote
Lion King Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 (edited) It looks like there is no info on the next Fairground set this year yet. I’m little surprised that there is no info on net Fairground set as June get closer. I assume that it’s not for this year. Edited May 19, 2024 by Lion King Quote
