Recently I bought used set 8420 Street Bike. Despite being 10 years old all parts are in really good condition except shock absorber. In general it works correctly I can compress it and it will decompress, changing travel also works.

The problem is that when I am squeezing it it feels like there is some friction in it and then when decompressing it is slow and sluggish. I checked some reviews of this model on Youtube and when people were presenting rear suspension, shock absorber was working perfectly smooth.

I tried to put some lube on it but i didn`t help. Now I am thinking whether it is possible to disassemble it so I could clean it inside ? Has anybody tried disassembling this part ?

Hi there. The shock absorber you are speaking about is quite advanced in terms of LEGO. It is adjustable and "lockable". Did you try making it harder or softer (I don't know which state it is now)?
