May 26, 200816 yr Really? Where do you live? US? Europe? I live in Saginaw, Michigan, USA! I still plan on picking up the Crystal Reaper and Hypersonic Operations Aircraft, just haven't had the time to run and get them yet. Let alone built them right now. Hopefully this week! The alien ship, I am passing on! Just doesn't appeal to me. Reviews and pics will follow, if I get over there!! Jamie
May 29, 200816 yr Just a little update! I finally got over to TRU and got the Crystal Reaper. I have a ton of stuff to do today and will build it tonight or tomarrow. The pics and such will follow then. They were sold out of the Hypersonic Operations Aircraft. When they got more, I will pick it up. Should be a week of 2. Jamie
June 2, 200816 yr Does anyone know if we can expect to see 7649 Drill thingy in Australia? If so would it be a TRU exclusive? always good to keep the eyes peeled. I thought i had gotten out of MM but they have drawn me back in with this behemoth of a drill machine/mecha and the crystal reaper. sigh cash away.....! Edited June 2, 200816 yr by I Scream Clone
June 2, 200816 yr It's a TRU exclusive, and I see no reason for it not to be available in Australia...
June 2, 200816 yr Has anyone tried the Power Functions modification of the Crystal Reaper yet, as described in the building instructions? I built the model Saturday night - really like it - and was thinking of going all out with it by making this upgrade.
June 2, 200816 yr Has anyone tried the Power Functions modification of the Crystal Reaper yet, as described in the building instructions? I built the model Saturday night - really like it - and was thinking of going all out with it by making this upgrade. I did it last night and it's great! I used the power function things from the Monster Dino Creator set and one extra small motor from S@H. It is the best use of power functions I've seen so far and it's such a great idea to integrate these into new sets. Oddly they don't seem to plug this on the box though. It zips along and steers well - the only problem is that the battery box is so heavy that if it goes too fast it tends to tip backwards - but I was running it on carpet - I don't know if this makes a difference. Totally fun and functional.
June 17, 200816 yr Sorry guys, I had every intention of doing a review for the Crystal Reaper, but, we had some wicked weather here in Saginaw and I lost power for about a week. I see there is now one up, so I will pass on doing one. His is review is spot on and his pics are better then mine. Here is a link to review I speak of, hope it is cool to link to it, 7645 Review. Also, I want to show you guys the view from outside my house and down my street. Scary stuff!! Anyways hope everyone understands and wasn't looking too forward to my review, another was posted for your enjoyment!! Later, Jamie
June 18, 200816 yr Also, I want to show you guys the view from outside my house and down my street.Scary stuff!! Anyways hope everyone understands and wasn't looking too forward to my review, another was posted for your enjoyment!! Later, Jamie Sheesh! With stuff like that happening there, I can definitely understand why Lego would be put on the back burner for the time being. I hope everyone's alright...
June 19, 200816 yr I hope nobody got hurt too. I had bad weather here too. It started raining so much that when I drove home,I couldn't see anything from the car window. And I heard lightning at least 5 times. But it ended in an hour. -Bender
July 7, 200816 yr I don't think this has been posted yet, but the instructions for the Ultra Drill Walker are now up: Book 1: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4538485.pdf Book 2: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4538486.pdf
July 8, 200816 yr For whatever reason they won't load for me, but thanks a ton- this set looks amazing! EDIT: DUDE... I got it to work and now I was this set 10x more! It's got decals, and the minifigs have backpacks! Edited July 8, 200816 yr by Algernon
July 9, 200816 yr Thanks for these, metalandi, it looks better than expected. I do agree with whoever said earlier that it could be a modified exo-force model, though.
July 9, 200816 yr I don't really see how... unless you mean LEGO took out the crap and added awesome.
August 28, 200816 yr I'm amazed there is so little in this thread - so little said about the 08 MM sets They are incredible - and anyone that owns them will know
September 3, 200816 yr Nice sets, hopefully it will continue strongly into 2009, but i'm still not convinced on the alien figures. I have a feeling that Lego could have done a better job there, but whatever, we have to put up with what we've got and the overall sets are very good.
September 6, 200816 yr MM is discontinued. I'm glad, because that will make room for another space line, but I'll miss it at the same time.
September 25, 200816 yr Has anyone seen this video on LEGO.com that shows how to install Power Functions on the MT-61 Crystal Reaper? It's surprisingly humorous, especially at the end. -Toa Of Justice
September 25, 200816 yr Yer Toa of Justice. I've seen that video. It almost makes me want to buy the Crystal Reaper!
