Caribbean Clipper is the best by far. The sails are great, plus it is the imperial soldier's ship. Imperial soldiers rock! It also has the same number of cannons as the BSB if I recall. That means it could beat that BSB! I just bought mine on bricklink a few days ago.

YIKES! This is an old thread, I just relized!

Well since Armada Flagship is getting the least votes and because I always wanted to get it (not successful, though |-/ ), it gets my vote.

I really like the colors and it has those rare Imperial Armada soldiers *y*

Personally, I thought that the Imperial Armada boat was nothing more then a tug in the naval yard of battleships.

Its a re-used design (I know LEGO did that a lot, but at least Imperial Army/Guard had its own stuff in the naval department) as I had that boat as a pirate one.

It also seems that LEGO didn't really want to make the Armada a major power in the LEGO Pirates theme, as it doesn't fit in. Who would honestly be afraid of a Navy where THATS the flagship? It got one cannon, and has too much gilt and colour on it. It's like that moment in the first PoTC film, where Will jumps onto the Dauntless and yells "Aye! AVAST!" You know he's trying, bless his cotton socks, but he just looks like silly Billy.

I voted for the Imperial Flagship, the one I own. The Clipper is very good too, but I don't really like the rear and I prefer the 2 rope ladders of the flagship than the single one of the clipper (what is more I prefer when they put them on the sides of the ships). I also like what they did with the wheel for the flagship and the compass they added to it.

The Armada flagship sure looks good but I don't know why (maybe because of the sail) it also looks smaller than the 2 others (and it only has 1 single cannon and 3 figures, the others have 4 of them... they should have added a second Spanish soldier).

Imperial Flagship wins it for me - the Clipper looks too much like the BSB minus a mast and a hull section with new colours and the Armada Flagship looks like a fishing boat - the sails, the net, the chains...

The only grievance I have is the pirate guy - he's too clean to be a pirate and too messy to be a seaman! Also, the cannons would have been better on turning sliders, like in SES, to increase playability. It is also the only ship (apart from Raft Raiders (if that is a ship) and the one in Imperial Trading Post) to have realistically coloured sails - canvas or white. I always feel sorry for it, up against SES and Renegade Runner - ouch! ;-)

Caribbean Clipper gets my vote, The first set I got and the only set I got that had the firing cannons. I built and rebuit it somany times my grandmother got sick of it :) The only thing I didn't like was the rigging. Other wise I got more then my moneys worth out of it.

The Clipper wins for me. I was always bothered by the fact that the Pirates always had larger ships. The fact that the non-pirate vessals got subsequently smaller was a huge disappointment. I always thought that the Imperial soldiers needed something to rival the BSB. This continuing disparity just didn't make sense to me as I always viewed the Pirates as underdogs. The Pirate sets however portrayed them as being the dominant force.

I don't really know, I never had one of these ships, but I think that the Caribbean clipper is the best... only because of it shape , and I love it figurehead!

Imperial Flagship, hands down. It is better proportioned and has a nicer minifigure selection (as stand-alone set) than the CC. And CC has no sail for the rear mast and not even a mast base for that mast, the rigging is wierd +it feels too empty. Armada Flagship is nice (and has nice minifigs), but it has a bit too much colours in it and has only 1 cannon (althought it doesn't really seem like it was designed as a battleship, so that's ok).

I would have liked to vote for the new Imperial Flagship but, since this is an old post I will have to vote for the old one. I will say that I still think that the old imperial flagship is the best in terms of the sail arrangement of the three. I also like the printing on the sails of both imperial flagships the best.

I also have the armada flagship and I am not very impressed with it. There is very little rigging and it is void of any triangular sail in the front. And the ship is just way too colorful in a jelly-bean kind of way.

The Caribbean clipper is my least favorite as it seem very primative to me for a Lego set. Also I don't like the way the gun port flaps fold down as it seem unrealistic to me, and I don't like the overall colorscheme with all of the blue. :pir-classic:
