BigEl Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Just finished building my sith fury interceptor and that thing instantly went up and took the 4th place in my ranking, placing itself over the FO Tie Fighter and kicking the AT-AP from the list. Its too small for its system scale in comparison to other ships lego made like the millenium falcon and the back door woobles around when its closed, but its a massive, complex and challenging build wth a phenomenal looking outcome. Even the flick fire missiles are accurate and feel well integrated in the design... Quote
Aethersprite Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 75060 Slave I is my first (and only... so far) UCS set. It's a brilliant display piece! I paid a bomb for it and it takes up a ton of space on my desk, but it's lovely and so worth it. 75021 Republic Gunship is everything I could ask for - playable, lots of space, and extremely swooshable thanks to the retracting handle. It was my first Lego Star Wars set out of my dark ages and I'm so glad I bought it. Quote
AnnaBuildsLego Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 (edited) Just out of my personal Dark Ages, so my favourites are all from several years ago (I'm only including sets which I own). - 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer from 2006. It's the first big set I really remember having. It's a sizeable, sturdy build which has lasted through the years. It also has pretty great interior space for minifigs, and I love the working escape pod and the mechanism for placing on Vader's helmet. It was pretty affordable back in the day, with tons of great minifigs. - 8038 The Battle of Endor from 2009. This is probably my favourite, and I don't even like Endor much. Everything about it is perfect. I don't think I have to say any more about it! - 7675 AT-TE Walker from 2008. I'll just give it the edge over the Republic Attack Gunship from the same year (even though I love that too) simply because it's a great model, extremely sturdy and contains my two favourite Clone Wars characters, Rex and Ahsoka. - 8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter from 2009. Incredibly sturdy, fantastic model, and an awesome Vader figure. It just looks fantastic and is ridiculously durable, so it's wonderful. Very, very swoosh-worthy. Honourable Mentions: - 7672 Rogue Shadow from 2008. I used to absolutely love the character of Galen Marek/Starkiller, and his minifig is still one of the coolest I've ever encountered, and to my knowledge he has the only minifig torso which has ever included blood? The battle-damaged variant of Vader is also extremely cool and something I treasure. - 7673 MagnaGuard Starfighter from 2008. Definitely loses marks on minifigs and recognisablity, but what a sleek, swooshable ship. I still rather enjoy picking it up and giving it a swoosh around the place. ---- The next LEGO set I'm going to get will be Poe's X-Wing, which looks like a strong contender to make this list. I just love everything I see there! Edited February 20, 2016 by AnnaBuildsLego Quote

I just love everything I see there! There are many ways to MOD it, just search on here. It needs some tweaks at the very least, whether you're more about function or aesthetics. Quote
Trentstoys Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 My favorite lego set is the UCS Slave 1 and the First Order Troop Transport (i don't know why i like that one so much, but i do ). Quote

Darth Wayne Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 What's so great about the AT-DP? I have seen it mentioned so many times here, so i checked out a couple videos and hmmm seems like a glorified AT-ST to me? Maybe it's because i didn't watch Rebels yet though and that would change my mind... Quote

I like it because it's an awesome display piece for $50. I enjoy looking at it. Edited March 13, 2016 by jdm44 Quote
Cjd223 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 My favorite UCS set is a tie between my 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer and my 10179 Millennium Falcon, they both are just awesome display pieces. For non-UCS sets, I would have to say my favorite is the 2014 Cantina. Mainly because I love the minifigs that come with it, and it is small and clever. Quote
Jayoheazy Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Just pulled the trigger on the UCS Slave 1 during double VIP points. So far this is now my favorite set: UCS Slave 1 2012 X Wing w/ Jek Porkins Final Duel Mos Eisley 2014 Quote
