Rosalyn's Healing Hideout has a really nice dark blue elf hair piece with the dark flesh ears.

Breakout from the Goblin King's Fortress has this cool bird:

Actually, the new baby dragon is named Lula, and is white with transparent violet-red parts [to represent pink on her].

Lula is Aqua, actually. But yes, not Miku.

Okay, it's kind of hard to tell in some of the pictures of her [both the actual Lego figure, and in the webisodes, she's been looking like she's white with pink].   And some of the early box pictures had her looking almost the spring yellow-green color with pink [which still would be cute to see sometime, too].

Looking forward to when the sets come out here.  Even though I'm still trying to get caught up with last year's sets too, lol.

We've been there already several times, but yes, Minidolls... regardless, that hair is very neat to use on standard minifigs as well.

Hadn't really paid attention to the bird, so thanks for sharing, I like it!

I've already preordered the three new sets from TRU. Hope to get them around June 1.

 

Meanwhile, a Polish site has lots more hi-res photos.

What I thought were bright orange cherries unfortunately seems to be bright light orange ice cream, which is not new.

There is, however a new printed 1x2 trans green goblin mission tile.

A little off-topic, but a few years ago I had considered the possibility of a "spooky" Friends subtheme where they're solving mysteries in spooky locales (a la Scooby Doo or Nancy Drew). That'd offer plenty of opportunities for animals like mice, crows, bats, black cats, and maybe even spiders. Now that the actual official Scooby-Doo theme has wound down perhaps that sort of subtheme could still happen one day.

The last I heard, it might have just been a misentry on Brickset's part, and there was no fourth summer set for this year. Hoping that's not the case, though...

The summer wave is already starting to show up on eBay, sold by TRU and--you guessed it--higher than RRP.

I am not really a fan of this summer wave, I feel like the colors are off. The dark blue dragon looks okay, but I wish it were medium blue with dark blue accents. The pegasus recolor is a little gaudy, too, and while I like the Goblin King's castle I wish it weren't the same color as his wyvern.  I will probably try to pick up the healing hut, though, after I have picked up everything I want from the last wave. Maybe I can mod the dragon to my liking.

So is 41189 officially dead? The new summer sets are almost out, and there was no store calendar leak or anything.... and to think I was waiting anxiously to find out what it was since February...

Saw the new edition of Elves magazine on sale today in the UK, if anyone's still interested in that. The next issue (with Hidee) was listed in the back as being out August 16th.

Looking over the other summer sets, I found myself very impressed with the use of colour on Eclipso's Dark Palace from the DC line, and felt a little sad Ragana's Castle wasn't a bit more like this. Eclipso herself looks like she might fit in reasonably well with Elves (perhaps with one of those Skyra hairpieces the Nexo Knights harpies are getting?), so I could be tempted to pick her up at some point if she's not going for an absolute fortune. She could be friends with the Shadow Servant (who I agree looks fantastic!) :)

Yep. Like Gertrude Stein's Oakland, there's no there there. Oh well. (I have no idea what it was originally planned to be, but it's definitely been scrapped.)

I don't think that's necessarily the case. All themes end up with "dead SKUs" here and there (see also 76074 from Super Heroes for another recent example).

I liked that set too, and also many of SuperGirls sets looks very good. This series are new so it seems designers put extra effort. There are some really cool minidolls - I like bee girl and Lashina, and if I would get Ivy I will can't resist to sculpt and paint pointy ears to her hairpiese :) 

 Howewer, Ragana's castle is still number one set for me because of it's amazing style - fantasy-themed and elegant :)
