Here are my thoughts on the 2017 nexo knights sets. Overall this is a very strong wave that looks a lot better than I originally imagened from the lists. The only problem is how simmalar some of the sets look compared to previous nexo knights sets.

70347 and 70348: These are my two least favourite sets in the wave. 70347 brings nothing too exciting realy and while 70748 has great minifigures, it looks like it has been rushed and not thought through.

70349 and 70350 : These sets are much better and look realy great! I love the new purple and grey coulour scheme, the outer design of both vehicles and all the minifigures (especially coming from 70350.) The only thing I can criticise is that 70359 is slightly flat.

70351: This set is pretty cool?. Although it doesn't follow the purple and grey scheme the build and design seems realy thought through. I especially like the buildible villain, whatever he's called.

70352 : This is my favourite set in the whole wave. I've always liked the big jestro sets and there's no change here. I adore the evil face on front of the vehicle and the trap mechanism at the back. The new jestro looks great! Overall, with everything together this is an awesome set and that's all I have to say.

70359 : Not the best set in the wave but still a good one - I just feel it's slightly bland. Regardless, I love the blue and purple minifigure with wings and all, it's just not the best set for me.

Action packs: Awesome editions to the theme but nothing too special. Having said this, I love the Axl one- it's just lot's better than the others?.

I doubt that the Lightning Monsters will be around by then, they seem like a one-wave deal. From here on out I think the villains only need to be around for one wave, because two waves of Lava Monsters last year was sorta drawn out.

He's been answering questions mainly about Ninjago, but also talks about China and NK. He can't comment on info not officially released, though, so this tweet might have been an accidental post.

Sounds like they have some special powers or something. He also referred the them in plural form, which in my mind means there will be more coming in sets, maybe for the summer.

Maybe there are multiple and they travel in groups like the Nazgul

If that means they'll come in a group at some point, I can get behind that for sure.

Perhaps that will pave the way for an actual Merlok 2.0 figure. 

 

Interesting that there does not seem to be any generic bad guy figs this go around. All the bad guys appear to be exclusive as opposed to this year when we had the Crust Smasher, Ash Attacker, and Flame Thrower popping up in all the Knight sets.

So... you know how there's the lot of you wanting a dragon for Macy...

Did anyone notice that the Knights are getting vehicles based on their coat of arms as opposed to their weapons this time around?

I suppose each character is also going to get a driller-type vehicle as well, being that the villains are made of stone and all.

I was about to go to bed, but thought "I should check EB again". And of course, the new sets were revealed during my abstinence. :laugh:

I really dig the mechs, though I was hoping for a new joint piece (I want a small cup with cross-axle) and I'm bummed that they don't use the new hands. Aside from that they look great though. Clay and Axl are sure buys for their weapons alone, and the others will be useful too.

I haven't really been jonesing for any of those but so long as Lego can make it look really cool I am on board. I guess we will know for sure once we see the Aaron exclusive set if that is what this wave's sets will be based off of. Lance is the only one who really has his sets look like a horse but that could be just Lance. His first wave set was a mech horse and this wave's is some type of ghost horse thing. Clay's doesn't really give me the impression of a falcon or bird of any kind but I guess we will see.

Hopefully they will use the  new hand on the summer sets. i would welcome that part on a more neutral color, in a more affordable set like these battle suits

Yeah, I agree on this.

I have to admit that I probably set my expectations for those mechs higher than I should, but that is probably my brain's reaction to the LEGO's decision to axe both Bionicle G2 and Mixels (the latter arguably hit me harder since I discovered my love for building poseable brick-build figures). I mean, I have to get new sweet constraction parts somehow.

Then again, the mechs do have a decent amount of new and nice pieces, so it's still pretty good.

On that note, where are the pictures of the mechs combining with other sets? I can't find them...
