Maybe that is the point? Not sure how close to the story the sets are for the next series (Either App or TV...) But if he was reformed but is now off with a bunch of new baddies then maybe there is a reason like possesion.

My disapointment in new Jestro is the fact he has old faceprint and no new Evil Jester hat mold.

I actually like new Jestro better than the older one.  The light blue-keetorange is a more pleasant combination than red-purple, in my opinion. I also have no qualms with the change of skin tone; it fits the colour scheme better than white would. I'm courious if his primary expression is new.

He kinda looks like he frozed to death and then resurrected.

But the Possession is more likely if you take the TV Show into Account.

I think the Evil Book mentioned something that he's actually someone banned in the Book (he is actually the Villain who once owned that Lava Castle) and that he wants to prepare Jestro unknowingly to get possessed by the Evil Books Spirit.

Well, I actually own the other Jestro.  I love the red and purple color scheme, he was one of the best looking minifigures in the theme.  I cannot say the same for this new version.

So...

This has been implied since the whole scene where the Book of Monsters was bragging about how awesome Monstrux was (reffering to himself) back in the first season. I was avoiding mentioning until now as I was afraid of being dashed by people who aren't aware of extremely common TV tropes.

I really, REALLY hope that we aren't just connecting the dots now.

On a side note, if that cloud thing in the MoMoMo isn't an evolved form of Monstrux, I will be severely disappointed.

Guess my theory of the vehicles being alive is right, as the third brother would be the truck, no?

 

All of the sets look amazing. 'Specially the villain ones. Can't wait to see what Jestro's set looks like!

Oh and those set names are horrendous. Lotta word salads in there, hopefully they aren't final.

 

Edit: From what I can see all of the villains have names that start with R. Ruina, Rogul, Roog, Reek, etc

Jestro's vehicle is on the same site as well. Brickset did not originally find it. The battle suits are still missing however.

Now that is impressive. The top of the front turns into a plane, it splits in half, it has storage for a bike and a boat comes out of a hatch in the back? 

 

Okay, this went from "eh" to "Must buy" in about two seconds. 

 

Did anyone notice the ridiculous feature on Lance's set?

Can't say I like the sets. Vehicles all seem a little bit underwhelming as they all look/are updated versions of the year 1 sets and the villians have a cool color scheme but that's about it.

Love Ruina's Lock & Roller. It may be the first NK set I am going to get. The vechicle itself is just ok but minifigs and parts are outstanding ( Ruina with Belatrix's hair in blue, new lightning elemnt, forbidden shield and Queen Halbert in gold armour ).

These sets look way better than this year! I love the leg piece for the rock monster in Lance's set! The new lightning piece is useful, and so is the wing piece in the Jestro set I guess (so long as it isn't attached to the armor, which it probably is). These look really good so I'll probably pick up most of them, come 2017.
