I'll wait and see what the hoods look like with the lower half + hairpiece combo, but as of now I'm not really feeling it. They look good when combined, but pretty odd when only one is attached.

Some guy made a good point on reddit.  With the two piece mold, you can't remove the lower piece without first removing the head itself.  I don't like that design.

What about the Rebooted and Tournament of Element masks? Or Morro (as well as plenty other ghosts) and Ronin?

I think for morro, the mask is supposed to stay on most of the time.  Don't know about the others.  Ultimately, the two piece mask might make sense in light of the movie plot.  For now, I'm just confused why its two pieces

This is an odd question, but looking at the two Garmadon figures, the jungle one is armor less and has a 14 pack (more unrealistic male body image goals ?) and the other, the armored one, has the original print from 2011-13 on the lower torso...anyone have any idea why the two chests would be different?

There are two Garmadons.  One's a clone or android or something.  It's like

all over again.

Nah he just has 2 outfits in the movie: one in his warlord armor (aka classic Lord Garmadon) and one in armorless Jungle outfit( and apperantly he has a a lot of body hair).

I don't like the way that the upper torso overhangs over the sides of the lower one. Looks disjointed.

does not look correct to me either,.. cant imagine that it will be put out like that...

It will. The upper torso for previous four-armed Garmadon, as well as General Kozu and Nadakhan, had the same issue.

I really don't like the new ninja hoods, and I like them even less now that they're two useless pieces. They always looked too round and strange for me and not tight and cool lik that regular ones. I don't like some of the ninja redesigns in the movie either, like with the new hair pieces. I do love the new Garmadon though and I will be looking to pick up a few of the big sets next year.

I wonder how the bottom half of the new ninja hoods works paired with the ninja's hair? Does it even fit for all of them? And if so, how well? I'd certainly be curious to see that combination even if it doesn't get used in the sets or the movie.

They must have some kind of armor to cover it,...    the former garmadon did have some armor to cover it:

At least on Warlord Garmadon he has his specialized cape that overhangs in the front to help cover that up. I'm glad the better version is included in the Mech Dragon set as that is likely the only set I'll end up getting from the wave, my wallet will be hurting this year and the recently announced LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 doesn't help. It's unfortunate though that he doesn't seem to have that really cool new staff weapon in that set though.

Normal Garmadon lower print is new.

Does anyone know if the jungle garmadon has duel molded legs or if it's just a print on the front of black legs like they've done for the justice league batman??

Looks like just printing. The side of the right leg shows some black.

So what we're getting is bare butt Garmadon. Fabulous.

I saw a lot of people complaining about how jungle garmadon has hair on his chest but I actually like it. This movie is focusing a lot on the father son relationship and the hair on garmadon chest really gives him a father vibe

I get that, but I was just wondering why Garmadons lower chest print would very from Jungle to Warlord, unless Warlord Garmadon's lower torso is also Armor

That's why I wish for figures like this would get dual-molded legs especially for a lego movie kinda of disappointing imo

That picture doesn't show an armor piece covering a torso.  The upper torso is a completely different armored torso piece that hangs down over the lower torso and cannot be used independently with legs.
