Jayoheazy Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) This is definitely one of my favorites scenes in all of the OT. Took me awhile to get all the parts but so far I'm fairly pleased with the result. I started with set #75093 and slowly branched out from there. Originally I had some walls extending from the bottom of the stairs area to the sides but I felt like it made everything squished and harder to see. I believe I used about 1,600 - 1,800 pieces in total. The hardest part was finding the colors I needed without killing the budget. Eventually I'd like to use more tiles to smooth out the floors but man, they are hard to find in the same store(s). Any feedback on how I can improve it is most welcome! miles teg Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 That is awesome ! I love the windows and the gantry area. Is there any way you could get a door in the elevator shaft ? And maybe angle the walls around the throne so it doesn't seem quite so 'boxed in' ? Apart from those minor improvements, this looks great. Quote
Tariq j Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Very good work I like the way you've integrated features from 75093 into this MOC. Quote
BigEl Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Love the duel scenery you created in the pictures. Looks very fitting Quote
Ellisss_ Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Neat work! I love the use of cockpits on Imperial models like this! Not the best one I have seen however; you could add greebles on the inside and outside, as the death star is very detailed. Anazing work, Ellis. Quote
Flambo14 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Good work, one of the biggest scenes what I seen! The windows looks very nice! Quote
Jayoheazy Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 Thank you all for the feedback. Looks like phase II will be coming around soon :) Quote
Trentstoys Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 I really like this set, it looks much better than the lego version Quote
Smitty500 Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 This is exactly how I would want build my throne room, not too big and not too small, and has all the detail it needs. Good job. Quote
