Looking out his window, Lord Maximilian Damaximus saw the "Margot" in front of the bay of Stedor. Fully equiped with 55 guns. Although they still are working on the rigging, he couldn't wait until she was seaworthy.

He sighed, last month trade run was terrible. The "Knight of Stedor" had to return to it's first port, the "Appleseed" sunk and the "Sulky Harlequin" made only 98 db's profit (divided by 10 shareholders, that was almost nothing).

If he ever wanted to get a licence for "Margot", it would take ages at the current revenues.

Although the "Sulky Harlequin" made a terrible run, the way CSC licenced her was an example of innovation. And Maximilian was sure the odds will change the upcomming trade run!

Time to do some business with the Corringtonlalanders. At the Stedorian Quays, the "Purple Rain" was packing some tradegoods. A decent fast and well-armed ship, ready to rock'n roll!

--------------------------------

Captain Matt Lenoir was looking over the stern to Stedor. His new ship the "Purple Rain" just set sail to Terelli. He loved Stedor, the white harbor, the vibrant atmosphere, the dangerously looking fortress and especially the Governal Palace on the mountain, watching over the Bay. He looked to the Licence in his hands and smiled. Finally he had a decent ship under his command!

Lord Maximilian Damaximus gave him even 2 Elite Guards to protect the ship. And as it is a joint-venture with some Corrington investors, two Corrington soldiers are on board as well. Even an important Corrington scientist has aboarded to join the journey!

Thanks for watching!!! the "Purple rain" is a 8-gun Xebec, which will be licenced as a Class 4 T2.

C&C ofcourse welcome!!

Here is the list of shareholders:

Share 1 & 2 (TC shares 0 db) : MAESTRO

Share 3 (builders share 0 db) : Maxim I

Share 4 (licencers share 45 db) : Maxim I

Share 5 (investors share 45 db) : Faladrin (paid)

Share 6 (investors share 45 db) : Scarst (paid)

Share 7 (investors share 45 db) : Tomsche (paid)

Share 8 (investors share 45 db) : SkaForHire (paid)

Share 9 (investors share 45 db) : Mike in name of CSC (paid)

Share 10 (investors share 45 db) : Bregir (paid)

The terms of the shareholders (Thanks to Bregir!)

Shares:

The venture has been divided in 10 shares, 2 of which will belong to the trade company the "Purple Rain" is sailing under, thus MAESTRO and 1 share will belong to the builder of the ship, in this case Lord Maximilian Damaximus.

Further, the 2 initiators (Lord Maximilian Damaximus and Lord Felipe de la Manzana) have each invested 45 doubloons in the venture, thus leaving 5 shares in open offering.

Each share is offered at 45 doubloons, giving total proceeds of 315 (7x45), against the 300 required for licensing the vessel. The additional 15 doubloons will be included in the first profit calculations of the venture.

Profit shares:

Each share will entitle the holder to 10 % of the venture's profit, payable each month, unless otherwise decided by the general assembly. (See below)

As such, all investors will achieve break-even the moment the enterprise has brought in a total profit of no more than 450 doubloons!

Voting rights:

Each share holds 1 vote, for a total of 10 votes in the general assembly. As the captain maintains 4 votes, 5 shareholders in concert will have the ability to overrule his dispositions.

In the event of 5 vs. 4 (Captains vote) + 1, the five shareholders will be considered the majority.

Special rights of shareholders:

Each shareholder will be eligible for items of special scientific interest collected during the voyages of the Sulky Harlequin. These will be distributed by a principle of significant interest, allowing shareholders to request specific types of items, be it of anthropological, cultural or biological interest. (In-character condition, with no impact on the EGS!)

Transferability of shares:

Shares are transferable at market prices on the Corrington Stock Exchange. However, all transfers must be approved by the Captain and two shareholders.

Risk profile:

The risk profile will be decided by the general assembly by way of common vote. However, to protect the investors in the still uncertain environments of New Terra, initial missions are expected to be low risk trading missions under Royal Navy escort.

However, neither captain, company, nor any investor can be held liable for losses incurred outside of their initial investment. The risk of total loss of the ship due to force majeure, pirates or similar must be taken into consideration by any potential investor.

Solicitation:

Any contractual conflicts will be handled under the common judiciary systems of Eslandola.

Can the shareholders please confirm they transferred the 45 db's to my account? :pir-classic: (transaction form)

I've always been fascinated by xebecs. Great ship! The purple highlights are excellent! And even with those menacing cannons, you have her looking like a proper merchant vessel. Well done!

A very fine vessel, indeed. The gunports opening downwards is unique, as is the color scheme, and it really adds to the ship's character. I also like the bow and huge cargo hold. In some pictures, the quarterdeck looks a little odd; perhaps having the sides taper in to have a narrower stern would help, but that could just be my preference.

That's a unique method of funding a ship, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it used more often.

Great ship! I didnt get around in time to invest as well pir_laugh2.gif ! Have a fortunate travel.

On the build now, although i find purple a tricky colour to use, this one looks nice. Especially since you used that awesome curved bricks placed at the bottom purple line of the stern.

A fine ship for a Prince. Good diplomacy to show that Corrington is friendly with Eslandola. Oleon should worry. I had comments before that gun port doors should swing up instead of down. I am glad you used down so that I'm not the only ship that does that. :classic:

Waw, ah lovely ship! The colours looks really well! GO MAESTRO!

The proud of MAESTRO right now :D

That’s a beauty! Black and purple are an excellent combo

Thanks! I used purple because I didn't know what to do with those bricks... I am really happy with the result as well :)

She is a beautifull vessel, and I can hereby inform that I have fulfilled my shareholder duty and filled in the form a minute ago

thumbup.gif

Perfect!

Excellent ship Maxim, the shape is great and those cannons look quite menacing peeking out like that! pirate_laugh2.gif:thumbup:

Thanks Kai!

Great vessel !

She is really well design with black and purple accent !

I am happy to participate in this venture !

I am transferring the Dbs immediately !

let's hope the seagods are in favour of the ship :D

Neat ship Maxim, I'm liking those cannons and your figure head, and it's great to see yet another use of that awesome CMF suit on your captain! pirate_satisfied.gifpirate_wink.gif

The figurehead was once an Avalonian sigfig to be honest :p but don't ask me of who... pirate_sceptic.gif

Yeah, they are so nice those CMF knights!

Great ship! Aiden Coyle has authorized the transfer...

Perfect :D

What, the goofy pop star couldn't be bothered to make the trip? :iamded_lol:

Now I think about it, I had to do smth with that popstar... my bad pir_laugh2.gif

If I'll rebuild him in the future, I'll take your advice in mind pirate_classic.gif

The idea comes from Mike S with his Sulky Harlequin pirate_classic.gif It is a great way in the begin to fund those larger ships pirate_satisfied.gif

Thanks! I am sure there will be other projects like this upcomming in the next months! CGH is making a large trade vessel for example pirate_satisfied.gif

Why do I hear music in my head?

Well done!

Everytime I see her (she is standing in our livign room) the song starts playing... Daaamn you Maxim (and prince)!

Well, it is the same move those gunports do so I don't see a technical problem in it. I am sure some Corrington engineers found an excellent way to make it work :D

Oleon is friendly with Eslandola as well. But the money is in Corrington right now, and money is the biggest friend of an Eslandolan pirate_laugh_new.gif

All these comments, but no mention of the predecessor...

This is a good way of rebuilding. It's obvious what it's based on, and looks like a true MOC rather than the majorly MODed look of the old design. I'm not a big fan of purple but it looks nice enough as an accent color. You have some fine details and a good-looking crew as well. Nice work. :classic:

I'm glad you took your time to rebuild this ship as the other looked too close to the LOTR ship, imho. In other words, you really improved that ship quite a bit and it looks like you're starting to become a good shipbuilder. However, I'm not really sold on the purple. But I guess that is taste and there something we can't really discuss. pirate_wink.gif

Thanks Captain Dee! There are only a few elements of the original set left pir_laugh2.gif

Well, I found this ship the ultimate solution to get rid of some of my purple bricks hahaha pirate_laugh2.gif

I on the other hand, am always sold on purple.

(Go Frogs!)

I really like the ship

Hahaha thanks Ska!
