Wow - thanks for all the great feedback. Currently looking at a landing platform to go with newly MODed Slave 1 (8097). Biggest issue so far is display space!

That is such a wonderful "mod". It's not over done at all. I don't know if the claw assembly is movie accurate or not but I don't need to check because it looks outstanding and fits in perfectly regardless.

The torso and head are from 7965 Millennium Falcon and the hair is from 9495 Y-Wing. It's far from perfect, but it's the best I've got!

I don't even know where to begin with describing the look of this after the modifications. I received this as a gift and thought it was very cool, but now that I see what it can be...I see I have my work cut out. Simply epic!

This is much betterthan the standard set you can buy in stores. Seeing a lot of mods lately of sets similar to this were the mods look 100% times better.

I SERIOUSLY would like to pay you for you to make instructions for this and detailed list of what pieces aren't included in the additional 2 sets. Please PM me if you're willing to do this. I've already spend $80 on 3 sets, what's another few $$$?

Unfortunately it was just a play it by ear type thing - I do t use any software, just keeping adding and taking away until I'm happy! I could maybe do a parts list next time it comes out onto the shelf though. Thanks for the positive comments.

If you do want to follow some instructions to put a claw together, the last issue of Bricks had some instructions to build a claw and a nice gantry using three official sets and some extra bricks.

I was planning on passing up this set but being able to buy two complete sets for under $30, I couldn't pass it up.

While I will not be able to make what the OP has, I will at least be able to merge two sets together and hopefully make it look whole.

Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
