BrickRemix Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 The pipes and claw just complete the atmosphere of the scene. Before you added that, it just seemed too open. Great job! Quote
Azrielsc Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Woah! Now that is simply amazing! Love the details on the claw part and modifications done! Time to buy another 1-2x 75137s!! Quote
Richpepperell Posted March 11, 2016 Author Posted March 11, 2016 Wow - thanks for all the great feedback. Currently looking at a landing platform to go with newly MODed Slave 1 (8097). Biggest issue so far is display space! Quote
scoiltreasa Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Really nice build. What parts did you use for the leia minifigure Quote
Jayoheazy Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Wow, very impressed. This would me a nice desk display Quote
Schneeds Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 That is such a wonderful "mod". It's not over done at all. I don't know if the claw assembly is movie accurate or not but I don't need to check because it looks outstanding and fits in perfectly regardless. I'd buy it Quote
Richpepperell Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 Really nice build. What parts did you use for the leia minifigure The torso and head are from 7965 Millennium Falcon and the hair is from 9495 Y-Wing. It's far from perfect, but it's the best I've got! Quote
addemlit Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Any chance at instructions or an LDD file for the class? It's superb Quote
Bugglefett Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I don't know how I missed this but it is beautiful Quote
jedimacewindu Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I don't even know where to begin with describing the look of this after the modifications. I received this as a gift and thought it was very cool, but now that I see what it can be...I see I have my work cut out. Simply epic! Quote
Garno92 Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 This is much betterthan the standard set you can buy in stores. Seeing a lot of mods lately of sets similar to this were the mods look 100% times better. Quote
generalpdw Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 I SERIOUSLY would like to pay you for you to make instructions for this and detailed list of what pieces aren't included in the additional 2 sets. Please PM me if you're willing to do this. I've already spend $80 on 3 sets, what's another few $$$? Quote
Richpepperell Posted May 5, 2016 Author Posted May 5, 2016 Unfortunately it was just a play it by ear type thing - I do t use any software, just keeping adding and taking away until I'm happy! I could maybe do a parts list next time it comes out onto the shelf though. Thanks for the positive comments. If you do want to follow some instructions to put a claw together, the last issue of Bricks had some instructions to build a claw and a nice gantry using three official sets and some extra bricks. pittpenguin123 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Looks awesome. Too bad there isnt a way to preserve the action feature to freeze han. Quote
TK924 Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 (edited) I was planning on passing up this set but being able to buy two complete sets for under $30, I couldn't pass it up. While I will not be able to make what the OP has, I will at least be able to merge two sets together and hopefully make it look whole. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. brobert Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Wow. Just WOW. Why can't TLG treat us with absolutely manageable sets like this? The outside platform is out of place I think, but great job nevertheless! Quote
