Posted February 17, 20169 yr I'm learning how to make instructions and I will put them here, I hope that some will like. I started with something easy the P199 Wheel loader. https://www.dropbox.com/s/gwt9qwrclj6uu2o/P199%20Wheel%20loader.pdf?dl=0

February 18, 20169 yr Thank you! Really good instructions, especially for the first try. Of course you could have gone more fancy but as long as I went through briefly, it seems sufficient and well usable. Perhaps just one question - is there a way not to display mini LAs as three parts each? By the way could you estimate how long has it taken to make these? I'm just about to learn with MLCad and LPUb to make instructions for my SW models, yet I'm afraid I won't have enough time for that.
February 18, 20169 yr Thanks for sharing and hopefully you enjoyed the experience of making BI. This machine is really cute - I need to get those wheels & some additional mini LA´s and build this immediately for my 2y old son! I know you are more in construction and everybody deserves to have his preferences, anyway I wish some day you would make a car again
February 18, 20169 yr They are already done ... by Thorsten Spelz ... Building instructions - F40 Wow, wow and more wow! My childhood dream supercar, this will be my first MOC from another user I will build.
February 18, 20169 yr Thanks a lot! cute little loader.... one question: which wheels ar these exactly? do you have a part-nr or a hint from which set they are? Thank you!
February 18, 20169 yr Author Thank you all for comments, now I am working when I arrive home I will answer the questions.
February 18, 20169 yr The instructions looks pretty good! I'm not an expert but for the LAs, try to type this: 0 !LPUB PLI BEGIN SUB XXX.dat 71 0 !LPUB PART BEGIN IGN 1.... 1.... 1... 0 !LPUB PART END 0 !LPUB PLI END 0 STEP XXX.dat should be changed with the parts that you will display in the Parts List, "71" is the color of that part, you have to chose the right value. The rows that start with 1....are the parts that you will hide from the Parts List. It works for me!
February 18, 20169 yr Looks great for the first time, maybe put this up on Rebrickable for others to see. By the way could you estimate how long has it taken to make these? I'm just about to learn with MLCad and LPUb to make instructions for my SW models, yet I'm afraid I won't have enough time for that. http://www.eurobrick...2 This is a good guide for working with Lpub, I started using Lpub3D, as for some odd reason I am having issues with rendering in Ldview on the Mac side of my computer. The process of making instructions can be a very long, depending on the size of the model. I usually build my model first with a couple steps, copy it into a new model and remove the steps, then go through the long process of how I would build it in real life. The nice thing with Ldraw models is there can be some really nice renders made after the model is complete. It can take several days/weeks depending on the model's size, for my Jagdpanzer 38t, it had 1300+ parts ( I spent the time to model every track though.... that was a real pain to do.) It took about 12+ hours during a couple weeks when I had free time at school.) Also no PDF instructions for that yet, so maybe another 4+ hours for that process. For my most recent model with instructions my Technic driving ring shooting mechanism 2.0 took about 4 hours to model 200 parts.... I had to do that twice, as I acidently deleted the first file. Then to make the instructions, took about 2 more hours for PDF format, with 70 steps. Edited February 18, 20169 yr by Tommy Styrvoky
February 18, 20169 yr Looks very nice, especially for a first time What's gonna be the next model? By the way could you estimate how long has it taken to make these? I'm just about to learn with MLCad and LPUb to make instructions for my SW models, yet I'm afraid I won't have enough time for that. Please take a look at LDCad before you start getting annoyed with MLCad. It's so much better (it also has part-snapping, but you have to turn it on). If you have any questions regarding making instructions, feel free to post here or PM me
February 18, 20169 yr Author Please please please do a pdf instruction for the Ferrari F40 next?. As Andro Tech has said Thorsten Spelz did instructions with some changes, I don´t like too much some of them but I also think that instructions can be MOC instructions or MOD instructions. Thank you! In fact they are my first finished instructions, I have been working with the mining truck instructions for about a month, I did this to take a rest. It took me 10 hours but I am very bad... there are many things I don´t know yet like the mini L.A. question for example... Thanks for sharing and hopefully you enjoyed the experience of making BI. This machine is really cute - I need to get those wheels & some additional mini LA´s and build this immediately for my 2y old son! I know you are more in construction and everybody deserves to have his preferences, anyway I wish some day you would make a car again The experience is addictive... When I finish my mining truck instructions I will start my new car. I like more the machinery but cars are good to vary and practice curves. Thanks a lot! cute little loader.... one question: which wheels ar these exactly? do you have a part-nr or a hint from which set they are? Thank you! Tyre 26/52 x 30 off road and wheel rim 20 x 30, it is for me a pleasure that someone wants to do my MOCs. The instructions looks pretty good! Thank you I will try it, what a work with your MOCs... Looks great for the first time, maybe put this up on Rebrickable for others to see. http://www.eurobrick...2 This is a good guide for working with Lpub, I started using Lpub3D, as for some odd reason I am having issues with rendering in Ldview on the Mac side of my computer. I suppose rebrickable will put the instructions, they contacted me when I did the F40 with LDD, I do not think that this may be necessary for this MOC. Looks very nice, especially for a first time What's gonna be the next model? Please take a look at LDCad before you start getting annoyed with MLCad. It's so much better (it also has part-snapping, but you have to turn it on). If you have any questions regarding making instructions, feel free to post here or PM me Thank you, I have to learn a lot and I have some problems with the mining truck, which will be my next model. I think about doing instructions for my favorite MOCs, the 8x8 and 10x10 tatras or the cat challenger for example.
February 25, 20169 yr Author I don´t have enough time but it is close... Missing parts are cabin, wires of the motors and receptors and several pneumatic parts as 2 large cylinders, 9 tubes and 3 T pieces. The bed is in another PDF file because I have thought do two diferent ones, normal and big.
