I've known about this site for quite a long time, the guy's also been running for a couple years too, but now that I'm new to Eurobricks, I'd like to share my find with you.

If you are a fan of MechWarrior you will abosolutely love this site, especially if you're familiar with the units through the miniatures game. Not only are there Mechs, but Vehicle, Structure, and Infantry units as well. All worth definitely a good look into. Although not all of his models have actually been built, (They're 3D renderings) every model is possible to build. These are the kind of Mechs that I get my insipiration from. Solid Americana. No anime influence like Exo-Force (Sorry, but I just can't stand it! LEGO makes it look so cheapo!!!)

I wish I could agree but I doubt it. The costs of sets would double and parents would simply not buy them. If they did these as UCS Exo-Force they might sell well, but I can't see that happening. UCS seems to only succeed with Star Wars.

True, the Mecha genre should be attributed to the Asian culture, and even in MechWarrior there are subtle anime influences, but I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I'm too fond of the organic, flashy, cartoony, raw anime style on Mechs, like Exo-Force. I must admit though, I do like Gundam and Transformers. Now that takes me back to childhood memories when you'd come home from school to watch those shows!

Actually I prefer my mechs to look mechanical too! *sweet* I don't make many though... (What I used to love as a kid was the vehicle Voltron. *wub* )

I was too young to remember Voltron, but I do know who you're talking about though. I do remember falling in complete love with THE ORGINAL Power Rangers. :-P Yes, laugh all you want, but the orginal shows were the best and I loved them. The blockiness of the Mechs, and the dinosaur theme was awesome, not to mention the Green Rangers Dragon Mech with the Rocket fingers was sweet! So, I suppose I did or do like some Anime influence, but there's definitely a line.

I too. They were great, because it was something new. I had the zords in my room for a long time. :-)

You know, whenever I see the title of this, I keep thinking of something along the lines of the Commander unit from 'Total Annihilation' in Lego form. Might be an idea for a MOC.

I remember seeing this a long time ago and I was extremely impressed, especially with the one called Jupiter. I'm pretty sure he has a real model of it constructed from real bricks posted on Brickshelf. He's added a lot of new stuff since I last saw it. They're really cool.
