Another MOC built with my bro :)

I had some difficulty in creating a working scissor door for my car and wanted to share the design. With this design it seems you could motorize the doors as well.

Looks pretty good! Can we see a shot of the underside, and maybe some specifics about the power functions?

Hi, see below for the underside. The power functions are 1 servo for steering, 1 L-motor for the drive, 1 m-motor for the transmission, 2 sets of power function lights (front and rear), 2 IR receivers.

I think the hinges that your doors opens on need relocated. The door is moving, but it doesn't appear that it is realistically moving out of the way enough for a passenger or driver to actually get inside. I would also scrap the engine in the back. You said that it is only there for appearance, but unfortunately that appearance looks very strange with it sticking out like that. Also with the gearbox, how do you get it to stop on the exact gear that you want without it moving too far? I think I've seen that before, but not sure where.

Other than those few things, it's not too bad at all. :classic:

I agree with the door issue, but the mechanics behind is interesting.

Also I see a lot improvement here compared to Your Porsche! Actually I like the design. Great work! :classic:

Thanks for the constructive criticism meatman. It helps me develop my want to replicate a better model.

Regarding the Gearbox, you simply wait for 2 clicks and the engine is in gear again.

The first click releases the gear, the second engages.
