LittleJohn Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 My entry to Round 4 of The Tourney. The category assigned to me, was, Nightmare: Portray a dark representation of a character's worst nightmares. This nightmare must not be merely reliant on a story to describe it (although you may include one if you wish); the MOC should be easily recognizable as a nightmarish scene. I decided on doing an all LEGO scene, and tried to capture a dark and scary atmosphere with the color choices, landscape, night background and monstrous creatures. The backdrop was inspired by LL, whose builds you should definitely check out: Link More pictures here: Link C&C welcome Quote

Garmadon Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Excellent backdrop and really superb rock-work LJ, and those beasties and the water are fantastic as well! Great job all around! Quote
dzidek1983 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Try different colors next time - the build is great - but there's just to much black/gray in here. Quote
Actor Builder Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Try different colors next time - the build is great - but there's just to much black/gray in here. I disagree. For a nightmare scene, the colors are perfect. Great build. I like the squid especially. Quote
Forresto Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Goodness that poor guy! Love the Lovecraftian like sea beastie! Quote
Blitzismydog Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I really like the texture you got on the spider legs, just brilliant. I'm also liking going the extra mile with the background. Fantastic build all around, and really captures the feeling of a nightmare for me. Quote
Balbo Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Amazing work . I love the rockwork and the atmosphere! Quote
