Following the traditions for all of you that will be in Billund for the event here's the '16 competition !

The object for this competiton is to build a vignette which shows your avatar in a typical surrounding.

Rules:

  • The model has to be built on a plate which is no bigger than 10x10 studs! Overlapping on the sides is allowed to max. one stud!
  • The model must contain your avatar.
  • What does your avatar typically do? Copy that in the build.
  • alien parts (Brickarms, whatsoever) are allowed.
  • It must be a new Moc by you - no recycling please.
  • The finished model must not be revealed/shown/posted until the event.
  • The jury will consist of all eventees who will assign points to the qualifying entries.(just like two years ago...)
  • If you don´t enjoy yourself while taking on this assignment you´ll be disqualified big time. [special Copmike rule ]

Prizes:

  • Yes, our special event coordinator is working on cool stuff.

It's less than 50 days now :wub_drool:, so get that brain of yours running, connect the fine motor skills and start building  !

Cool, who's the judge for the last rule? ;)

That could be only one, but he's sadly not attending... :cry_sad:

Ah! this will be fun.. not only to build, but Im really curious about what some sig-figs will do..

Yes, this is great. It's just 10x10, so no excuses for not joining

Cool idea. And doable size

Hi

Are there any restrictions regarding the height??

All the best Henning M.

Awesome. Now I have got to get digging through my stuff to build something!

No.

As long as you stay with the width.

And I do know what height and width is...:wink:

  • 4 weeks later...

I'm done! :classic: Pushing the overlapping rule, but it should be ok

I will keep an eye on you...

So am I, and so am I. But it's a bit flexible, so I can push it back in :)

Quite happy! Just need to place a BrickLink order or two... so I might be a bit pressed for time...

Since alien parts are allowed, are we allowed to use custom capes?

I really need to get started on this soon... just need to get this Florence/Venice vacation out of the way first.

Yep, go ahead!

... get this Florence/Venice vacation out of the way first.

Oh. Mind if I go instead?

I've got mine built with the added challenge of most of my LEGO being inaccessible (Durn family and their DIY plans..grumble). I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Am I allowed to have a base border that is beyond the 8x8 dimension, or is that considered part of the dimension constraint?

It's 10x10, so you should be good

Finished mine yesterday evening, looking forward to what everyone is cooking up!:sweet:

Mine is done in LDD, will just build it now as well.

Finished Saturday, but may add some extras to it.

Crap! Still got no ideas...

I built mine the day the competition was announced...., and I don't dare look at it again now because I'll be tempted to pull it apart, redo it or mess around with it in some way, with no time to put it back together again!

Oh my :( I am so pressedd =p Make one on wedensday at the office :)

Still nothing finished too - hope to get off the Friday and hope to find time to build something then :hmpf:
