RESISTANCE TRANSPORT

Hi again everyone

this is the last model i built during my building frenzy when I was ill.

i am not a great fan of this ship for some reason so decided to just build this with the pieces I had to hand.  Normally I will build a prototype with different parts and then Bricklink the actual ones I need for the finished model.  The only thing I ordered for this one was the minifig for the display.

So while there might be better parts or colours available this is what i came up with.  I think it actually turned out ok considering the source material and the restrictions I placed on myself.  The mix of old and new grey gives it more of a battered look. ;-)

All comments welcome.

Jon

QUADJUMPER

Hello again everyone

I am running out of things to build from EP VII, thankfully Ep VIII is almost here! ;-)

This time I present Unkar Plutt's Quadjumper.  This started really as just messing around with a few round bricks and grew from there.  I hadn't seen many MOCs of this vehicle and none in the MINI scale.

It is basically built on its side with a few brackets to create inversions etc.

I think it works quite well but I am not 100% happy with the fins/wings but the way it is built I could not think of another way of doing them, so if anyone has any ideas.......

Anyway here it is:

EREVANA

Hi again everyone

Here is Han's new ship from Ep. VII the Eravana.

I have been working on this model for quite some time.  It was quite a tricky build, especially the lattice cargo section, but every ship is there to at least be attempted in LEGO is it not?

It is not often in this scale that you get to do a modular build but this little model was built in 3 sections.  The front, cargo and engine sections are all separate little builds.  Once I decided how the overall model was held together (by click hinges) this idea fell in to place.  The engine section was finished pretty quickly and the front section soon followed including opening cargo door and even some cargo and a Micro MF inside if you can spot it?

I bowed to popular opinion (of an earlier version) with the colour of the freight and the centre section is also a complete rebuild.  It is now built upside down and the top is connected with brackets.  This has overall reduced the height of the centre section by a whole brick!  I think I was over complicating the first version and once I decided on using the brackets it became much cleaner and simpler.

I am now happy with how this turned out.  The bridge is a bit large but there is no smaller piece so if anyone has any suggestions.  I took a bit of artistic license on the bridge but the location is correct according to the incredible cross sections.

I hope you like it.

Jon
