Karie downs a smelling salts and blets out a Rapid March as the angels close in. Arthur assaults Vaermina as Telethia dodges Vindsval's swing and whirls around him, sending a botl of ether at the half giant's back. Vindsval manages to get a slash in on Telethia as Thormanil retaliates against a white angel that hamred him. Lind manages to crack Star Breaker down on Corvis's skull. The huge atack leaves Lind wide open, but Corvis's thoughts were too scattered by the impact to capitalize. Jinnipher fights an angel. It manages to get a quick jab in on her shoulder before Jinnipher follows with a thrust of her own, clipping its wing. Siercon throws down a confusion bomb, leaving the angel generals staggering - he nearly triggers Glaz's attempts at reinforcing his friends, but the ringing in the empath's hears halts his efforts. Masson clumsily swings at an angel. The divine being attempts to take advantage of the former paragon's whiff, but he ducks under the swinging blade and sweeps the Brace Blade upward, leaving a vertical gash on his opponent's torso. Gabriel goes toe to toe with Telethia. He rolls out of the way of a blast of ether from the angel and fires. His shot misses. "Agh! Didn't account for the wind, no time for rookie mistakes right now, Gabe..." Telethia holds the boquet of Eschaton flowers aloft. A trail of white light darts from it, touching Karie's, Masson's, Arthur's, and Gabriel's foreheads. "Someone all four of us know...?" The trail of light punges into the ground, and bursts upwards, taking form. An apparition of Octavyn Scelin joins the battle. "..." Gabriel scowls. "No more of that now, darling." Gabriel takes aim, and fires handcannon round directly into Telethia's chest. The angel glances down at the wound as she topples over. "Charon... My darling... I'm sorry. So, so, so, sorry..." With that, the Memory Keeper is dead. Glaz and Corvis look on in horror. "You bastards." hisses Vaermina, enchanting her staff with another veil of dark magic. She points it at the heroes. "Think it was personal for you?" Vaermina glances up sadly at the moon. "I've suffered enough losses for a lifetime, she didn't need to die too..." The rest of the party trades blows with the angelic underlings - one decides to Doom Miirym, Arx, and Anemos, while another takes to the sky, ready to strike Arx down if left unchecked. JimBee Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 OOC: Did you roll for Jinnipher's chance to Enamor? "Us bastards?" Jinnipher called from the left flank. "What about you godless bastards who picked this fight? Show it to them, Gabe." She gave an approving nod to the sniper before continuing the wrestle with her own angels. She continued to swing the Brine Blade at Angels A and B while trying to keep her distance in the back row. Their wings made them deceptively speedy. She would have to be careful to avoid another hit. Quote
Endgame Posted May 16, 2016 Author Posted May 16, 2016 QM Note: Rolled for it as you were posting, I think - it worked. "We're using nonlethal methods -we won't kill you. And yet there's my friend, Charon's lover, dead in the dirt..." Gabriel frantically reloads, rolling another shell into his handcannon and prepping the gunpowder. "I'll do what I can, Jinnipher. Gotta say, not a fan at how that white angel is checking you out..." Gabriel mutters. Jinnipher can tell he wants to take a shot at him, but he knew he probably had bigger fish to fry - or rather, shoot. Quote
Flipz Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) OOC: If Glaz was Confused and he uses his Specials for rolls of Damage and Free Hits, he should have inadvertently cast his protection onto the Hero party. Lind Whisperer Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 "If anyone feels like focusing on Corvis, now's the time." Grinning quietly, the Black Knight quietly pulled Gladius out of it's sheath. Second Action: Lind Repeats, unless he rolled a SHIELD, in which case he rests. Quote

Kintobor Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 "...They've failed before, unfortunately. They're not foolproof." "Yeah, let's not dwell on that notion." Karie butts in, trying to suppress flashes of Erdathcath being ripped in two. "Octavyn.... was a pain in the rear in combat before, and I have no doubt he is now. I've got the vision." Karie strums a note on her Finely-Tuned Guitar towards the not Octavyn, followed up with her continuation of her Rapid March. Quote
Flipz Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) Karie downs a smelling salts and blets out a Rapid March as the angels close in. "I've suffered enough losses for a lifetime, she didn't need to die too..." OOC: Did you roll for Jinnipher's chance to Enamor? When you choose to impose a fate upon the world, it must come at a risk. It is the way of fairness.>" Arthur sighs. "Look," he says, speaking diplomatically, "the only one in this situation devoted to death is Immortalis. He's the one who refuses to stop this storm, who insists Eubric choose between subjugation or death. All we want is for him to stop, to stand down. "We are doing the right thing here, or so I believe, though I find this task distasteful. But we are definitely the aggressors here, "nonlethal" or not. If we wish to hold the right to change this place's future, we must wield the strength to enforce it. Prove yourselves to us and beat us heroes, if you wish to be the masters of your own fates. But... You'll have more opposition. Immortalis will feel similarly. And he is more powerful than all of us angels combined. You have a dangerous road in front of you, heroes.
