I'm confused. Why are we trusting "MickeyMouse" more than we do other news-bearing new members?

I'm not saying MickeyMouse is lying, I tend to just take everything with a large dose of salt (Even from CM4Sci, Just2Good, Tragic Banjo, etc.) just because salt makes things taste better.

I just don't know why we're all jumping up and down because of "MickeyMouse", whereas we often bludgeon, belittle and barf on other new members with "News".

Perhaps it's the name...or the profile picture...

Like I said, I'm not accusing our new friend MickeyMouse of lying, but I'm not sure why we're blindly trusting him.

I think maybe it's because a lot of us really want this set to be something special, and we don't want Lego to drop the ball ala assault on hoth. As I said, I'm cautiously optimistic that this set will live up to the hype.

MickeyMouse only refreshed the discussion, which is a speculation all the same.

I already have too much expectations towards this set. I know I'll buy it anyway even if it's only a $200 set, but it'd better not be...

Reliable set intel says Minnie will have a red dress. This is likely just a display setting for the CMF series. It does give us more proof that the Disney CMF series are intended to be the park versions of the characters. I could see a parade set possibly as a series D2C next year.

Works for me.

Why trust anyone even CM4? Everything is pure speculation unless provided with pure undeniable proof or an official release. Only reason we believe our trusted sources is they are usually correct but even then you can't fully trust them as it isn't officially Lego. This guy is no different except he isn't as trusted as the others.

So I found THIS is in the new LEGO Club Magazine, May-June 2016 issue:

Page 8 here: http://catalogs.lego.com/Club/us/2016/MayJun/redbrickMayJun2016/

A possible inclusion?

This.

It's a 'sneak peak'. Look at the buildings behind in the background. I bet this will be a castle and a few buildings and a parade.

Assault on hoth- we got a FULL SNEAK PEAK in the video in October. Set turned out pretty much exactly like it and everyone was disappointed.

This set had been sneak peaked we have images minus the castle part.

This will be a great play feature set.

Do not allow yourself to get over worked and hyped like everyone did on hoth. With the hoth set people are so smdissappinted because they let themselves get carried away.

Those buildings in the background are already sets. On the far left is the 10243 Parisan Restaraunt, to the right of it is the 31050 Corner Deli, and on the far right is the 31036 Toy and grocery shop.

Eh, I'd take those sneak peaks with a pinch of salt. I think the Mickey Float is likely, but that villain rock monstrosity seems to weaken the former's validity in my opinion. I'm not sure why they would include such a nondescript villain float when we have no reason to expect (at this point) any villain character to be included (at least not one that would utilize a random mountain like that). Plus its just ugly.

All that said, the Mickey Float looks rather nice, especially the blue wands, so I do hope that shows up in the final product.

Gonna avoid looking at that until I get my magazine copy, but a Mickey from sounds cool. What I've heard so far is just the castle and those five figures but I'm sure there will be more. We'll have to wait and see!

As far as kids being able to afford it.....I'm probably gonna get blasted for this, but I don't think kids are the target audience for this set. There, I said it, lol. I think there has been a seismic shift in the way Lego develops products in the last few years.

I think we are starting to see Lego testing the waters to see just how far they can go with the AFOL market. I don't know where the limit is personally. Would I pay $600-700 for a Lego set? Probably, so as long as it was a cool pop culture theme and really awesomely detailed.

We are living in a golden age of Lego right now. I can't wait to see what the next few years have in store as Lego continues to expand and grow.

This. Very much this. If this really is the way they are expanding and actually reaching out to us in this manner, it is only an exceptionally good thing... and bad... for our wallets

This could mean some amazing sets in the future in many themes.

i like the mickey float. wouldnt be too hard to guess the parts and MOC if you had the right bits already. be nice if it was included, but personally would rather more money be put in the castle.

I certainly wouldn't mind a Disney parade set, but please oh please don't make it part of this castle set. I also wouldn't mind some of the buildings from Main St USA, but again different set. I would rather see every possible brick go towards making the castle as large as possible. Put me in the camp that's hoping for it to come in around $400 and be somewhere north of 4000 pieces.

a small parade or few shop front facades [like the frozen castles, still representative, but not fully enclosed and minimal interiors] would be a nice gift with purchase from the lego store and S@H.

Has anyone gotten their physical copy of the magazine (if you get it?)

I haven't gotten mine yet, and it's the 7th, it seems weird.

I'd be very disappointed if they included those ugly "floats" in this expensive set. They're just probably to promote the minifigs in the catalog, makes total sense. Plus, I don't like the idea of an amusement park for this set, regardless of it being Disney World's cinderella castle, I think they can sell a "story" in its own imaginary era where all these characters meet. Making it just like an amusement park sort of ruins the magic IMO.

If it was just the castle why wouldn't they just make it a Disney Princess DTC? I think the minifigures sub theme is an excuse to add amusement park side builds.

Being somewhat of a pessimist by nature i'm gonna go with a disjointed build with tons of little sidebuilds like those floats and other stuff and the actual castle being a bit of a

disappointment :(

I truly hope to be proven wrong though and that Lego will surprise us with a 4000+ pieces super rich and detailed build of a HUGE enclosed castle!
