While I don't see a high end restaurant or a vip suite being priorities in the interior, I think on paper Lego could include versions of that with smaller builds. Just give the castle a fancy bedroom and a dinning room and it can play as both fantasy castle and the real life structure, all without wasting to much exterior space.

Sadly I don't think I will be buying this set as my era where I spent hundreds of dollars on LEGO is over. I will just bricklink the exclusive minifigs to this set hoping they don't cost an arm or leg.

If this is due for release late September, when should we expect to see some images? Do LEGO do SDCC?

Release is mid-August actually - at least that's for VIP early access; wide release is September 1st. Given the timing of the past few D2C reveals, I'd expect this one to be revealed in mid-July.

Very good. Thank you, sir. I keep checking back to learn more. LEGO play things pretty close to the chest, don't they?

A brick-built Maleficent in Dragon form would be my first choice, as is featured in the Fantasmic park show. (Including a more angry-faced Maleficent minifigure in the set would be great too.) However, that dragon would probably require too many parts. Curses! :classic: Maybe an idea for a second Disney D2C set.

To have a dragon with a castle, the second Disney D2C should be the castle from Paris, which is Sleeping Beauty Castle with the dragon and her lair under the castle :) (see on Youtube Disneyland Paris dragon) But it's too early to talk about a prospective second Disney D2C, we're still eating our fingers waiting for one tiny image of the first set :)

Haha, I'm sorry. Just wishful thinking on my part!

$350 is too little. I really hoped we'd get the largest, the most expensive set to date. $350 is GB HQ... And where is GB licence compared to Disney and its most recognizable landmark?

It's $350 IIRC

What's "IIRC"?

Sounding good. That'll be really expensive in Australia, but I'm taking that as a good sign it'll be awesome. :D

This is just an assumption but I have a feeling we will get the press release for the castle on the VIP release for the Beetle. As that is what has happened the past few times (ex. the Beetle getting revealed on the day of the VIP release of the Big Ben and the Big Ben getting revealed on the same day as the VIP release of the Minecraft Village.) This is just a theory but I might be on to something. :classic:
