CM4Sci Posted July 11, 2016 Author Posted July 11, 2016 Tinkerbell looks surprisingly good! And Mickey looks much much better like that! Damn it, I did not want to buy this set but those homeless CMF's need somewhere to stay... Here's your reference chart. Warning - it's huge! Quote
Cammo Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) Is there a designer video on the way as well? edit: I just noticed the dimensions on the box. 74 cm tall; that's 1 cm taller than the Orthanc Tower. I don't even have the space between my shelves to put it somewhere. Edited July 11, 2016 by Cammo Quote
TJJohn12 Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Here's your reference chart. Warning - it's huge! The grandfather clock being 10 minutes to midnight would also be a Cinderella reference too, right? Quote
CM4Sci Posted July 11, 2016 Author Posted July 11, 2016 Is there a designer video on the way as well? Yes! Starring these two - Quote
BatmanFanboy Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 this is makes me sad because only five figures for almost $400 that is not good. they should have put some more exclusive figures like Goofy or Pluto or even Pete or even Cinderella since its her castle. Quote
BlockLogo Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 It's a Bessa set? Was that known already? That means tons of clever mini builds! Quote
LEGODalekbuster523 Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Without Cinderella it is still a terrible set. They may have renamed it to Disney Castle but it is Cinderella's Castle, not Tinkerbell's. Quote
strangely Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) Seeing the official pictures I will say that the exterior is absolutely awesome. The one thing I wish they'd done is swap the dark tan pieces of the top spire for gold instead. Otherwise the outside is really good. As for the inside, I'm less impressed now. I still love the foyer (Though I see now that the mosaic sits below the rest of the floor). I like the kitchen and the bedroom too, but the other rooms look kind of bare. The Beauty and the Beast room seems so empty. At the very least they could have given Lumiere his face, it's not like they didn't just print that very part in a Princess set. The sorcerer apprentice room is the worst in my opinion, at least the other rooms have decent mini-builds, this one is just full of generic crap. Two brooms, two buckets, a barrel, a hat, an old style book (Great opportunity to include a new style one with printing to make it a reference to any number of things such as the books that appear in the intro's to several of the old animated movies...) and a very common chest in a decently sized room make for one very uninspired supply closet... Maybe I'm being too critical, but for $350 (Not including tax) the inside seems a bit underdone. This would be more okay if a CMF was out that could fill the empty space with the right minifigures, but with a series 2 being estimated at 2018 this makes the interior seem pretty 'meh' to me. I like Cinderella's slipper though. Too bad we don't get her... Edited July 11, 2016 by strangely Quote
CM4Sci Posted July 11, 2016 Author Posted July 11, 2016 Anyone else find it kinda funny how the shoe printing in this is better than the CMF series? Quote
gedren_y Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 They use the new style book in the hidden compartment with the glass slipper(s?). The video suggests that the apple is supposed to have printing, so maybe Lumiere will too. Quote

Falconfan1414 Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 I actually really like this set. Overall the detail is really good. I love all the little references. But the minor thing is I wish the sorcerers hat had a little pin so Mickey could wear it Quote
gedren_y Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 What video? This video. Is this been posted yet? There's an image of the box: (no extra minifigures than the ones we've already seen) Quote
Nerd-with-a-Pencil Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Anyone else find it kinda funny how the shoe printing in this is better than the CMF series? Funny? Nah. Just disappointing and predictable. Quote

strangely Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) There is a new style book in there with the slipper, neat detail. Question, because of where the Archery range is, does that mean the main part of the castle can be taken out leaving just the castle walls? I really don't care for Tinkerbell. Another bun piece, I feel like a special piece for that didn't really need to be created. The shoe printing out lazies even the CMF. Edited July 11, 2016 by strangely Quote

tafkatb Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Hey, look at that! I guess all that whining about a set called Cinderella's Castle not having Cinderella turned out to be pointless since the set isn't called Cinderella's Castle. It's almost like AFOLs like to complain about things before they even have their facts straight or something. Quote
cmsalvo Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 After reading and looking at the press release, I wonder what the chest is a reference to, some say tangled but the hair is black so I was wondering if it was Mulan. Quote
