Minifigure?

It shouldn't be like a micro or something?

Or maybe using the new baby piece?

She would look awfully oversized as a minifigure

A new microfigure with wings would be perfect. Plus they can reuse it for 2018; Ant Man and The Wasp

If it comes with a Tinkerbell minifig, everything is possible i guess. I suppose some of the missing cmf figs will be there, as a stimulant to buy the D2C. Woodie, Cinderella of course, Lilo. But also the likes of Pluto, Goofy, that girl from Aladin, White Rabbit etcetera

I can understand Pluto and Goofy due to being along with Mickey among the main five Disney characters but why would Woody, Lilo, Jasmine or the White Rabbit be included in a Cinderella set?

But it's a D2C.

Those rarely have new moulds

I expect 1 exclusive minifigure (Goofy), just like Snake in The Simpsons theme

If there's only one exclusive minifigure, I'd expect it to be Cinderella not Goofy. You can't have Cinderella's Castle without Cinderella.

I expect goofy will have the body and legs of woody!!! And that Mickey will be in his Disneyland suit! Minnie will be in her read dress, and idk about Donald. Do you think we will get a Pluto mould?

Just because it's named the Cinderella castle does not mean it's a Cinderella set. Cinderella Castle is also a building located at the Disney World resort. So there's a possibility that this set is based on the park attraction, rather than the movie. So we could easily see a wide variety of Disney characters appear if indeed this is based off the park.

Thanks for the news, CM4Sci!

Funny, I just bought the Cinderella Castle from the minidoll line to use with the Disney CMF.

I wonder if some sort of vehicle, creature, etc. will be included in the set, much like Simpsons house includes the family car and Kwik-E-Mart includes a police car.

A simple Disney World parade float would be nice.

A brick-built Maleficent in Dragon form would be my first choice, as is featured in the Fantasmic park show. (Including a more angry-faced Maleficent minifigure in the set would be great too.) However, that dragon would probably require too many parts. Curses! :classic: Maybe an idea for a second Disney D2C set.

A very simple Disney World structure that I hope is included is the iconic statue with Walt and Mickey. Just give the CMF Mickey short legs, and it should be okay.

Why isn't this a Disney Princess DTC? LEGO must really lack faith in that theme... :S Why even continue it if they can just make gender neutral Disney sets? The Simpsons made sense as DTCs because kids wouldn't be as interested in them then other themes, but Disney films are directed towards kids.

Surly new Cinderella characters are more likely than Goofy or whoever. Think about the two Simpsons sets only ever had one exclusive figure with Snake and not including Cinderella would be bizarre. Plus Goofy would more than likely need two new molds (his hat and his head). I don't think we'll get any animals, which is a shame but most of them would need new moulds. Perhaps Bambi, Thumper and Flower could use existing moulds but dogs (Pluto, Bolt, Lady, Bruno, Tramp) would need new ones.

It will be interesting to see which version of Cinderella they'll use. The redesign (blue dress, blonde hair, hair swept to the left) is much more likely than the original (silver dress, reddish hair, uptight fringe) though that doesn't mean a girl can't dream. I'm 100% sure they'll use the Queen's dress for her. Prince Charmimg should be an easy figure to produce. The Fairy godmother and Lady Tramene would be nice addictions, due to them being snubbed in the DP theme.

If we do get characters thrown in from the series, I expect a recolour of Minnie's dress from red to pink and just a regular Mickey. Disneyland versions of Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy would be amazing since in the Kwik-e-mart we had three existing minifigures, but it's unlikely.

Holy smokes, this sounds amazing  I also think it's the Disney World version since it was called "Minifgures D2C" before, so it has to have some relation to the Disney CMF series, just like the Simpsons D2C sets that were obviously tied to their respective CMF series. Can't wait to get the most iconic thing in the entire Disney universe in LEGO form, I mean it's not only the centerpiece of Disney World but also part of the logo

I'm also very amused by the fact that TLG is now besties with both Warner Bros. (LOTR, HP, DC, all of the video games and the LEGO Movie) and Disney (Star Wars, Marvel, POTC, Toy Story, Cars, some Duplo sets, the CMF series and now this)

Last night I watched "Mickey, Donald, Goofy : The Three Musketeers", do you think we could have Queen Minnie with the new Angry Birds crown ? Then Lady Daisy, the Three Musketeers, Pluto, Pete ? It would be amazing :)

This is great news! This will make a great center piece to display all the Dinsey CMF. I hope the Tinkerbell rumor is true. Like others, I hope it will come with Goofy, Pluto, and Disneyland suit versions of Mickey and Minnie, although I'm not getting my hopes up as it would be odd if they reserved main characters such as Goofy and Pluto for such an exclusive set. A Walt Disney statue would be excellent as well, and maybe a vehicle for the characters to ride in, such as one of those old-timer cars or the tram. Can't wait to see pics!

I hope they hit the nail on the head with this one. There are so many possibilities, but that of course depends on it being the actual castle simulating to be a Disneyland for the LEGO world, or it being a castle in its imaginary fantasy era, which means it won't have the features of an amusement park. Am I explaining myself here?

I would love the set if it was based off the park and had a sign or something saying "Welcome to Disneyland".

The castle after all, has become most well known for its use in the theme parks.

I doubt they'd do a Disney set based on Disneyland. To me that would be like making a Doctor Who set based on the Doctor Who Experience.

If a set is called Cinderella's Castle, you expect Cinderella to feature as a minifigure. Otherwise you may as well call it Disneyland Castle.

I think I mentioned I assumed it was the Disneyworld Cinderella castle because I asked my source if it was that castle and he said yep.

I didn't say Cinderella wouldn't be in it. I was just giving an example as to how they'd include other Disney characters. And Disney creates toys of their park attractions all the time, the park itself is very popular. Anyway's we've already had the castle from the movie Cinderella, so rather than repeat they'd be better off doing the Cinderella Castle located at Disney World. That castle is many times more iconic and popular than the castle in the movie, which is barely seen.

And if Tinkerbell is in this set, then that 100% confirms it's the park version.

There's no argument to be made against the iconography of the park but I just don't see why LEGO would make a Disney set based on the original theme park rather than based on one of the Walt Disney Classics. The problem with making it based on an attraction is it becomes a souvenir and not many people who haven't been to the original Disneyland are likely to buy it. It would become more of a niche product only really good for selling at Disney theme parks, whereas a lot more people will have seen the original Cinderella film at some point in their lives and even if they haven't a live action remake came out only last year.

I know what you're going to say: many go to Disneyland. And yes, they do. But it will still be a vast minority compared to the amount of people who have seen the Walt Disney Classics.

What about anybody who has seen a film made or distributed by Disney any time recently that features a live-action-looking Disney castle logo? What about all the kids who will see a fun-looking castle with a lot of Disney character favorites and won't care 'where they saw it before'? There are plenty of arguments either way for what it could be. A Disneyland park castle with disparate characters is in no way a niche novelty item that would only sell as a park souvinier, but we shall see what it turns out to be.
