deskp Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 More news! Incomplete list of figures: - New Mickey - New Minnie with red polka dot dress - New Daisy with darker lavender outfit - Donald Duck - Tinkerbell Maybe there's more, but for now I don't know. Enjoy! lol "great" the most boring figures from the minifig line again. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) Tinkerbell isn't even in the line; it sounds like she's exclusive to this set. If Mickey, Minnie and Daisy are in their traditional park attire (the description of Minnie sure sounds like it), that would actually be really cool, IMO. And Donald is a great figure already. Different strokes and all that, but I for one think this sounds great so far. Edited April 18, 2016 by Blondie-Wan Quote
Tariq j Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I wonder if the set will come with one of those parade vehicles for Mickey and Minnie. Quote
strangely Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 A parade vehicle would be great. Plus, nearly all Lego sets include a vehicle of some sort. I'm heavily expecting Cinderella to be in this set as well. Given that the castle is named for her and she is a very common park character. Plus I don't think they could do a Disney World set without including at least one princess. The D2C's for the Simpsons ended up having six minifigures each, so I'm guessing this will be around the same. Quote
Captain Nemo Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Hopefully there's more new characters included as opposed to new figures. There's so many characters that could be done without requiring new molds (like Tinkerbell). Hopefully we'll get some of those, because as we all know: the people want Gaston! No one's more wanted than Gaston! That being said, Mickey has turned out to be one of my favorite minifigures from the line and I'm not surprised at all that we are getting the animal mascot figures again (even if they are variants, which is good). Tinkerbell isn't even in the line; it sounds like she's exclusive to this set. No she is in the line, we just didn't believe in her enough dammit! Quote
LEGODalekbuster523 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) Cinderella's Castle without Cinderella ? Wow, that's beyond stupid. I was hoping me and my brother would be able to share the cost and buy it for my Mum who loves Cinderella but there's not much point if Cinderella isn't even included as a minifigure. Disney World set or not, it's called Cinderella's Castle not Tinkerbell's. Edited April 18, 2016 by LEGODalekbuster523 Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Is it a little odd I want this to be Death Star sized so we can get so many different characters? Quote
strangely Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Cinderella's Castle without Cinderella ? Nobody said that. You need to read more carefully. CM4Sci said it was an incomplete list. Only what is known for sure is posted. Odd's are ridiculously good she'll be included. The castle is named for her after all. She's undoubtedly be included. I can only assume her not being included in the CMF was solely so she'd be exclusive to this set, making it even more valuable. So save the freak out for when we have final pictures, there's no need to panic yet. Quote
gedren_y Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World is iconic for so many reasons. Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland isn't for other reasons. Disneyland is the older attraction, but in the beginning it was a failure. A Disney Parks' Cinderella character would be fine, but remember that the character is represented by multiple actresses across different parks. The character inclusion wouldn't be seen as representative of the movie character. For that matter, I think the whole Disney CMF line is intended to be park characters. The fact that the non-human(oid) characters don't have standard fig heads under masks is probably due to the Disney Parks' policy about preserving the illusion. Donald and Daisy not having orange legs and webbed feet add to this supposition. Cinderella can be as easily done as Tinkerbell. The recent CMF Queen's dress mold has been repeatedly suggested for her. I'm also betting on this set being available at all Disney parks worldwide. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Yeah, I wouldn't bet on there being a Cinderella minifigure. The set is called 'Cinderella's Castle' because in the park it's called 'Cinderella's Castle,' not because it really has all that much to do with Cinderella the character. But we shall see eventually. I would hope for more than Tinkerbell to be the only new character included. Quote
Brickthusiast Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 With new designs! And Tinkerbell! Thanks for the info, sounds great. Is there any info on the amount of parts or price? Quote
Brickthusiast Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) Someone did a concept of Cinderella: Is that a real concept or just a fan art/concept? Edited April 18, 2016 by Captain Nemo Please Don't Quote Pictures Quote
CM4Sci Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 If we get Cinderella she will have a blue Queen dress and the same hair as her mini doll. Just a guess. Quote
Tech Artist Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Is that a real concept or just a fan art/concept? Fan art. I found the original creator's Flickr page: Quote
Brickthusiast Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Fan art. I found the original creator's Flickr page: Thanks, the minifig looks quite good and might give us an idea of the real Cinderella minifig that will be included. Quote
tafkatb Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I hope Cinderella is included - she can join the highly exclusive club of characters that have been Duplo figures, mini figures, and minidolls! (Spare me the "not really Cinderella" argument - I guarantee she would be listed on the box as Cinderella, not as "park employee in a Cinderella costume." ) Quote
strangely Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) The set is called 'Cinderella's Castle' because in the park it's called 'Cinderella's Castle,' not because it really has all that much to do with Cinderella the character. That's true to an extent, it's not based on the movie castle at all, but it is Cinderella themed. The interior is really all about her (The events of the movie are depicted in mosaics, the boutique is Princess themed and the restaurant is named after Cinderella too). On top of that she's almost always featured in the ceremonies held there (Usually Mickey and crew are there too). A Disney Parks' Cinderella character would be fine, but remember that the character is represented by multiple actresses across different parks. The character inclusion wouldn't be seen as representative of the movie character. But those actresses are supposed to be Cinderella. They are there as if that character is real, that's part of the illusion. So I see no reason why Cinderella couldn't be the movie character. Looks like CInderella = is Cinderella. CM4Sci Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) Guys, stop talking about whether or not Cinderella is included. I or someone else will say if she is when it is found out!! For now, it's not worth wasting pages on. Edited April 18, 2016 by CM4Sci Quote

(Spare me the "not really Cinderella" argument - I guarantee she would be listed on the box as Cinderella, not as "park employee in a Cinderella costume." ) I don't think this castle is going to be marketed as a theme park set. It will be the castle from the park but I don't think it will be a theme park set in any way. Though you will probably see something along the lines of mentioning that it is the same one from Disneyworld. Edited April 18, 2016 by Tech Artist Quote
Oky Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 The DP castle was based off the parks, the castle in the film was pure white and had an avalanche of steps going up to it. True, but it's still meant to represent scenes from the movie, not from the park. Ok, I've got confirmation that it's the Cinderella one! And apparently it's huge. Panel pieces and all. More news! Incomplete list of figures: - New Mickey - New Minnie with red polka dot dress - New Daisy with darker lavender outfit - Donald Duck - Tinkerbell Maybe there's more, but for now I don't know. Enjoy! Nice! Exactly what I expected. Thanks for all the info! Hopefully Donald has some new variation too, though I'm not sure what that would be. lol "great" the most boring figures from the minifig line again. Well, this is the equivalent to the Simpsons House, so it makes sense to have variations of the four main characters in the set. In my opinion, these are the perfect characters to include, and the inclusion of the exclusive Tinkerbell actually makes this minifig lineup better than that of the Simpsons House. Hopefully there's more new characters included as opposed to new figures. There's so many characters that could be done without requiring new molds (like Tinkerbell). Agreed! They could easily use this chance to give us the missing characters from the CMF series such as Lilo, Woody, Jasmine, Jafar, or Cinderella herself. Here's hoping! Even some generic park staff or visitors would be nice. No she is in the line, we just didn't believe in her enough dammit! I believe! Maybe she is hiding under Peter's hat. Quote
telaruhn Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I wonder... is the Tinker Bell minifigure sized? I'm hoping to get more varieties of the fairy wing part. The cloth skirt that came with the S8 Fairy would suit her too. Quote
8BrickMario Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Although I'm personally less interested in Mickey and Friends, I think it would be a missed opportunity not to include Goofy. Red-dressed Minnie sounds really nice. Quote
