MiloNelsiano Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 While SK and LD might be the most extreme improvements from first to latest MOCs, I certainly don't think it would have to be limited to them. I think you could probably find noticeable improvement in anyone that's built enough. Quote

Angeli Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 This is my first moc when I joined GoH: this is my last one: And it's been... how long GoH exist? Five years? In any case, in "index" thread you can see our first mocs, the towers, and continue looking - I think there is no builder that started in GoH that has not improved exponentially, with few of them becoming world known builders, continuously blogged by the TBB (at the time the most prestige place one can find his/hers moc, don't know if there is something better nowadays:) "what is new weekly" is a great idea, as it inspires us to build better stuff. And it's not limited to one moc, so - no competition :) Build something good, and it will be featured (I think:) From the start, some very good builders with very famous names went trough GoH, and we should all feel grateful to be part of such creative legacy, as it inspire us to build more, and better. Being featured is just a normal extension of such moc beauty :) Quote

Ecclesiastes Posted March 23, 2016 Author Posted March 23, 2016 Week 12 This time a highlight of what's going on with the Age of Mitgardia challenge. Anyone who's familiar with the AoE concept knows that over time you get better and bigger buildings. So that's the whole point of AoM. Start small, improve your building skills and level up with each phase. Enjoy these gatehouse examples made by soccerkid6. First phase: Second phase Third phase: Thanks for the feedback guys! I'll try to compile a list and put it to good use. Already used one of Kai's, slightly smaller pictures to make it a less long post Quote
MassEditor Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Cool idea! This seems like a great way to highlight recent events, especially for those who have some catching up to do! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 Week 13 Normally would expect dwarvish builds from DwalinF, so it's good to see something new. Like this stunning windmill. It's also good to see that even after a time of absence members are still into GoH. Like Etzel with his "Teddy's Bears" which should appeal to you army builders out there! The same goes for MassEditor, who has made a moc that fits this time of year perfectly! Got Questions? Need help? New member? Bricksmag Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Hey guild members, we hope you are all well. Here at Bricks magazine we are very excited to be covering some of the talents and creative activity produced on the Eurobricks forum. We would like to start this coverage with an article focused around the Guild of Historica. We are really impressed with the quality of builds on the site and the way in which the guilds are organised, along with the extensive history and lore you have created. What we would really like is to be put in touch with the core leaders or guild leaders so that we can do an interview from each Guilds and find out a bit more about this amazing forum, the way its run, and its best builds. Would anyone be interested in this? Excellent work everyone, from all four regions. Keep up the good work. Bricks magazine. Quote

soccerkid6 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 @Bricksmag: Very glad to hear you plan to feature GoH in a feature issue! I had the pleasure of having one of my MOCs featured in the most recent BricksCulture magazine, and was super impressed with the quality of the publication Quote

Gunman Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Ecc dont forget to tell them that Mitgardia is the best guild. Quote
TitusV Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Ecc dont forget to tell them that Mitgardia is the best guild. Correction: Avalonia is that. Mitgardia gets second place Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Ecc dont forget to tell them that Mitgardia is the best guild. Mitgardia only gets to be the literal "coolest" guild. EVERYONE knows which guild is really the best! Correction: Avalonia is that. Mitgardia gets second place I suppose the list does look like that if you start from 4th place and read up. (That is if you're excluding Valyrio) Quote

Ecclesiastes Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 Ecc dont forget to tell them that Mitgardia is the best guild. Ofcourse! It will be a shameless Mitgardian promotion! Week 15 This time we have something different in store. A coat of arms, skillfully made by Garmadon. Which is a perfect part of character development! While most of us were disappointed by the Nexo Knights theme, Dubbagrimm shows us how to put those figs to good use! The members from Kaliphlin just can't get enough of trade places, and who can blame them! Here's another great depiction made by don leopond! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted May 10, 2016 Author Posted May 10, 2016 A belated Guild's Weekly, but here it is: Week 19 Colors that aren't used that often can certainly lead to stunning results. Like this blacksmith made by Kai NRG It's unbelievable where he finds the time to build that fast and that much. But soccerkid's mocs never lack the attention to detail like this watchtower! What makes a castle gate more awesome? A well build bridge leading to it of course, made by TitusV. Ok, just one more, because it's been a while! BrickCurve has made a stunning entry for the Dessert King Challenge, and it's not just this build so make sure to check out the whole topic! Quote
TitusV Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Oh gods, I got frontpaged! Thanks Ecc! (and thanks SK for the idea of that bridge ) Isn't it BrickCurve, instead of BrickCure? Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted May 10, 2016 Author Posted May 10, 2016 No problem, well deserved! And yes, I missed a letter there! Quote
Kai NRG Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Great to see my blacksmith's shop there! Thanks Ecc! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted May 29, 2016 Author Posted May 29, 2016 Week 21 Not only is this moc filled with great details, it is accompanied by a great story as well so make sure to check it! It's great seeing new(er) members enjoying building for the Guilds and creating their own worlds and style like this Spire made by Keter! If you haven't read it yet you surely should, the Guilds are featured in the latest issue of Bricks Magazine! Quote
