Lego town fire station upgrade to match modular appearance

And here is the second upgrade to my town set, the fire station.

So, once again the problem: (town sets don't really match the look of the new modular buildings)

From the back (this one I spent a bit more time on the interior as the fire station is the favorite of my son.

Anyone else undertaking similar upgrades to their town sets?
