Master of jedi academy! Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 1 New star wars set (I don't look enywhere else in this catalog) (y) Quote
ApophisV Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 uhhh.... too "old" for being called "something new".... ;) Quote
David85 Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 It's better than what Lego does. If the set is released within the last year or so they call it new. Quote
ApophisV Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 its a shame that all this sets are coming at different times... when i was younger there were always two times where new sets came (or at least were i was avle to inform me about new sets... ;)) the days the new catalogues came out... now i get the infos about new sets mostly at the same day when the first pics appear at the net... Quote
David85 Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Lego before made two sets of release dates. January, and July. Then Lego bought movie rights and all kinds of things so they started releasing sets once a season. Now it's "we will release thing when we fell like it". Quote
ApophisV Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 yes... thats so right.... on the one hand its okay, so we often see new things, on the other hand there isn't anymore this great time when studying the new catalogue with tons of new amazing stuff... Quote
jonfett Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 For me, any sets which I don't have yet are classed as "new". So, still sets like Cantina and newest snowspeeder are new for me. Now it's "we will release thing when we fell like it". Yeah, that seems to be what they are doing lately but as long as they don't release loads of new star wars soon after each other. My wallet seems to be a few miles behind at the moment, it just can't keep up! :D Jon. Quote
David85 Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 New Star Wars stuff? Since when did Lego do that? I thought it was all redos now. :) Quote
DoubleT Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 New Star Wars stuff? Since when did Lego do that? I thought it was all redos now. :) Actuly an good point... At-At the last new System set? Quote
David85 Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 No they had that ripoff set this year, less than 200 pieces for $30. But it did have a redo speeder thingie. :) Quote
DoubleT Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Well the Episode 3 sets aint remakes.... lol I hope Quote
David85 Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Knowing the way the Star Wars movies have been they might make remakes of the classic ships and say they are "early" find. The Falcon is pretty old maybe that will be in episode three so we have like 5 different ones at once. :) Quote
Jipay Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Well I'm impatient to see all those brand new stormies ! And Ep III seems to be closer from the orginal trilogy. What I really hope is new minifigs. You never have enough :P Quote
DoubleT Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 I agree, but a shame that Greedo was the only one this year.... Quote
jonfett Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Actuly an good point... At-At the last new System set? Ermm.. isn't the falcon the newest set? Or before that the Snowspeeder or cantina. As for new minifigs, I also can't wait for the new stormie/clonie fig. We will probably get a new Anakin and Obi, and hopefully General Grevious!! Jon. Quote
David85 Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 We were talking about new NEW sets not new redo sets. The Cantina is the ripoff set I was thinking of, and most of it is crap. One big monster thing, a way to small hut and a redo thingie. Quote
jonfett Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Ah sorry, I didn't realise. Yeah, I wonder when we will get some new ships. I would guess the sandcrawler or sail barge would be good for new sets. Well, I would like to see them anyway. What more options do Lego have left (except episode 3). And they still have over 2 1/2 years left. Jon. Quote
David85 Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 It's ok, only us two knew what we were talking about. :D Lego better make some more ships. I don't mind playsets but they cost a lot for the very little one gets. Quote
David85 Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Well all the old figs can be new again because of skintones! (n) Quote
Jipay Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 Well try to keep a positive state of minde. We already have a lot. Count all the different minifigs they made for the SW line and you will realise they've already made all the main characters (I am not speaking about a hidden ET in the cantina). Some sets are missing but I am sure lego will do those. Just trust in them ;) Quote
