Rumpelmuck Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 As a child my biggest wish was a miniscale train layout. I never got it but what i got alternatively is still reflecting to my adult ages ;-) Quote
PerryDaPirate Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I believe it was 6269 King Kahuka's throne. Quote
sebby Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 It was Christmas morning 1985 or 86 and there was this big box under the tree. I ripped open the paper to find.. That started passion for Lego and I'm still trying to replace that set, I will get it again one day. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Back in 1978 Target Australia started to promote and carry a new toy ....it's name Lego Town ! 99cents got me my first lego set ever...........then the dark times came five years later. Only in 2008 did the light of the brick shine again with the first set just for little old me (not for my son) was this ....... .....yes do I do like fire trucks too ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
legomaniac83 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I believe is was Christmas '88 or '89 and this was waiting under the tree with the windmill set built: My dad said he was up all night putting it togehter! Quote
train lover Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I got lego train set 171-1 as a Christmas gift in 1973. Image here: Quote
Steel Dragon Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I believe it was 6269 King Kahuka's throne. Ni-ice! I bought that on Bricklink a couple years ago. It must've been kinda cool to have that one great minifigure as a start to your collection. Quote
Sergiu Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I think my first set was 2555 Belville Swing, quite a strange choice but at that time you didn't have a lot to choose from, so almost any set you could find was good. Quote
Kintoé Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Hi there, I would like to know what is the first Lego box that you have received or bought. For me, my first set ever was the 6252 Sea Mates from the Lego Pirates Theme. I was only three years old when I received it. And since that day, I have become a big fan of Lego Pirates. Aaaahh... Sweet memories!! Quote
Peppermint_M Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 There is a thread in Community for this Here. Odd place I know, but there are several pages of discussion Quote
Kintoé Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Well, thanks to telling me. I have searched for this topic before creating this one, but I didn't found it. Quote
Kintoé Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 My first ever was the 6252 Sea Mates. Pirate one day, pirate forever! I remember that I received a value bucket of freestyle bricks too. Quote
WhiteFang Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Well, thanks to telling me. I have searched for this topic before creating this one, but I didn't found it. I have merged your topic inside. WhiteFang Quote
Dunjohn Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 That's going back a bit. I can't remember. The earliest I remember is the yellow/red four-wide garbage truck, but I'm fairly certain I already had some Lego before receiving that. I loved it. It came with a bin that you could put on a lift at the back and tip into the truck. One of the first sets I got after my dark age ended was the modern orange equivilent, it made me rather nostalgic. -obelix- Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 My first set (which i still have almost complete) was My first set Quote
Plastic Nurak Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 My first set was this: http://www.technicsets.co.uk/Lego-Set/Detail/2634/Index.html . I was about 3. Quote
The Legonater Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Ah, i haven't posted here yet. My first set was Jedi Duel 1 or 2- the one with the Imp officer. Funny, thay's the only true Imp Officedr I have (True as in without the giant black helmet) Quote
Mofo Jones Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 That would be Final Duel II. I think you may be confusing Final Duel (7200 & 7201 from ROTJ) with Jedi Defense (7203 & 7204 from TPM). The actual Jedi Duel set (7103) is from AOTC and is Dooku/Yoda with a crane and Dooku's speederbike: Quote
Dharkan Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I think mine was the 6335 Indy Transport. It still has its own place among my sets. :D Quote
HumanPackMule Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 my first was this small plane that my grandmother gave me when my first sister was born. I still have some of the pieces, despite the fact that at that age I only took Lego sets apart Quote
NoisyDvL5 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Wow! I'm not sure... I had a lot of hand-me down Legos at first. I remember a lot of race car sets, or at least those sloped brickes with the numbers on them. Early to mid 80's or so. I think the first set I remember getting on my own was a gas station, but I'm not sure which one. I'd have to track it down. The only other sets from when I was little that really stand out were the Forest Hideout in the Castle theme and the Model Master white semi. Quote

Ezechielle Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 The first set I remember is the Pirate Ship 6268 but I already had LEGO before (by my brother). Anyway, I think it is the first set offered to me (and not to my brother ). Quote
