Yes a space theme would be good after star wars ends, but i agree without a good storyline to capture peoples attention then i fear it wouldnt be to sucessful.

With all the SW sets that lego have yet to make im just hoping that we see most of them.

You can definitly cross licences out of the list (Halo, LOTR...).

I'm sure we'll see a lot of town/city sets in a near future.

We also can hope for space and pirates.

A car builder, could come with a lot of good tools (Wrenches, hammers, that kinda stuss) and plain chrome or stell colored bricks for building the car

They could even build a lego store out of legos, that would sell lego sets that looked like the books from HP |-D

I would love to see some Clone Wars sets, and I am sure that they would sell really well.

Well never say never but i would be very surprised if lego did renew its contract for SW sets. :'(

i have a lot of questions with a space theme. i'd like that very much, but i don't know exactly what that would be: a large theme like the classic space theme, or a follow up of small themes, like blacktron I,II, ... I think the most difficult question for TLC right now is "how to replace star wars"

TLC definitly need another space theme but AFTER the SW license.

i'm thinking about marketing here... you need to tell your sw-customers to stick around after star wars... the best way to do that is to link your new product directly with star wars by getting them out at the same time... anyway... not our problem...

i do agree with you about the space story...

you also need sets that are so good that they'll be able to replace the Millenium Falcon, AT AT,... otherwise, people will always say :"i liked the AT AT more" and that would be a problem for TLC... If so, a success of the past might become a pain in the neck

they also can't go back to the innocent themes of the past. many fans are trying to build armies of stormtroopers, so it might be smart to have a militairy space theme that allows fans to do just that. this time TLC wouldn't be bothered with Hasbro licences...

i can see a theme like Alpha Team: two camps fighting each other, without becoming too violent, this time in space

I'm putting SW aside. If you want to have another space theme to "replace" SW, I think it would be better to place it under the sign of exploration rather than domination.

I would definitly go for an army building theme based on history.

i think most people will be looking for fighter craft, defensive structures,... this means there will be violence ... people need action based themes... don't ask me why, i'd go for an exploration theme as well, but a majority wants to fight

I think blasters and guns are necessary for any new space theme - all of the old ones have had them, and they're classics. I fully support guns, missiles, etc. in historic and futuristic themes.

i personally voted more starwars i mean they could make some awsome sets but halo might be cool and same as knights but i do definatnly think they could make better knight stuff

I forgot in my list the knights. I mean real knights like King Arthur and his round table knights and not those "skittles" knights ;)

yeah i hate the new knights stuff its absoloute megablocks i guess it was ment more for kids but like the old knights and the bulls as the bad guys those sets were awsome

Throw in those new Castles sets some wizardry as well: a white wizard with the good guys, and a black wizard for the others ;)

oo yes yes yes some wizards would be soo cool and wow i have always wanted to make a big big behind castle and that would give me such a big reason to make one (not that i need a reason ;) )

I used to have a knight town on a table with walls and shops and stuff. I used lego for the townspeople and megablocks for the evil raiders.

They didn't come out with enough good knights sets to add to it (besides the knights kingdom, which wasn't that great anyway) so i got rid of it and made a space theme city

I can get pics if you want, but it is kinda "flat"

I don't have enough pieces to build it.

I even had to use megablock 2x4 pieces for some of the bases *devil*

true it my not be the best but i find it better then the new knights but it would be cool if they came out with newer knights then the stuff out now

If you're ever at a lack of LEGO pieces, just use Bricklink - don't resort to MEGABLOKS.

EDIT: I would love to see a brand new UCS line devoted to architecture (like they did the Statue of Liberty): you would have the most famous exemples such as the Pyramid of Kehops, the Parthenon, the Eiffel Tower...
