If you see a same user posting multiple threads, just report it once, don't waste your time reporting each one of them.

I report once but why if i see the member profile and i see report the member after i push the button its coming a page that says error. i want to report just the member. so the member can be banned or removed.

Well, if you report one of their threads it is just as good as reporting the user. I'm not sure why the profile report button is broken but a report on one thread works. When we catch a spam bot account it is a simple task to remove all their posts. It in fact takes longer to clear each individual report!

Well, he got banned before he could post more than..what, 40 threads?

What's that guy doing? does that approach actually ever work? I mean, how? 'WELL I wasn't QUITE convinced about the Prince of Nigeria selling me these penis multiplier pills but after you told me the 47th time I simply MUST give you these comically large bags of money?'

Yeah that's my fault.

Ohp, yep. That's me too.

...selling me these penis multiplier pills...

How many penises do you need? Gee...

The general section seems to get spams in groups of thirty pretty much every day now. Not seeing them anywhere else, though. Good job?

It's a good suggestion although I haven't seen single spam accounts creating a lot of topics or posts. The problem usually is a lot of accounts being registered at certain times. Also, I'm not sure if what you suggest is an option in our board software. An Admin would have to look into it.

If it is possible I think it would be a good feature, the general Lego discussion forum is currently full of spam from the same spam account.

I'm just curious: Seeing as pretty much every single spam post I've seen over the past couple of weeks (and there have been a lot) contain the website "WEWE79.COM", isn't there some way to block (or at least delay) any post with that wording in it? Seems to me a filter like that could potentially stop a lot of spam that seeps through at the moment.

Of course we have tried that but they alter it every time we do. We believe we're dealing with cheap labor and not necessarily bots. There are seven variations of that website in our database right now. We stopped another one that I haven't seen for a while but who knows...

We've been adding spam terms to the swear filter for years now. We're not new. :hmpf:

But at least you put another instance of their website in our board's content. :hmpf:

Why no moderator that on, because that was a lot of spam in general LEGO Discussion. I report it, but until now the post still not removed.

Edit: now the spam are removed.

I think this is the third time I saw the Forum flooded with Threads all filled with the same gibberish.A mass of Korean letters, numbers and symbols. It is kinda weird going through several pages of new content only to see half of the sites are just filled with this gibberish spam.

On a funny sidenote:copy that gibberish into Google translator and let it translate into a language of your choice.Use the speaker version and it just says something like 8or9...weird

Latest spammer I saw was posting in already existing threads on the General Discussion Forum. Where it not for the fact he posted in multiple threads, it would not have been easy to notice.

Yesterday there was a spam with LOTS of links in the member title thread, right after all the posts about "where did my spam poet title go?"

Who do we blame for that, eh? :smug:
