March 15, 20168 yr Does it work with Windows 10 now? I have been running LDD on Windows 10 since the public release candidate. (i.e. it works on windows 10) Edited March 15, 20168 yr by o0ger
March 15, 20168 yr Anyone have a problem with crashing? As i mentioned earlier, trying to rotate cross axles crashes the program nearly invariably, and nobody else seemed to note it. It only seems to happen if the axle is going through 2 technic holes, though i'm not certain about it. Dunno if it's the specific LXF, but certainly happens with this one that i'm trying to complete for the official sets thread. Can't be the amount of parts, there's just 550 of them but the model's only half done :/ EDIT: Seems to be because some of the beams were misaligned so i guess clipping happened and LDD didn't like that... But i'm quite sure that wasn't a problem until after the update. *shrugs* Edited March 15, 20168 yr by JC75

Remove all but one supporting element and th axle you want to rotate, rotate it and than readd elements. I will now take a look at your file. EDIT I looked at your file and some of the pins are at odd angles... I would make sure you dont have any missaligned or missrotated parts. Any small mistake here can cause the whole model not to come together. Just in case I would remove all the pins at weird non 90-degree angles and readd them. EDIT2. All your 3L pins are 1,57 degree offset. I suppose you copy pasted a 'bad' one... Edited March 15, 20168 yr by Zblj
March 16, 20168 yr Sure feels like it's been 3,000 years since the last update, right? I could hardly contain my excitement when I finally saw the news. Of course, I'm just ever so slightly disappointed that most of the bricks I was hoping to see in this update (particularly BIONICLE elements of both generations) were not included, but that disappointment is easily mitigated by the fact that there even is an update. Bravo, LDD team! Thank you so very much! Anyways, there are a whole bunch of new decorations (especially those regarding LEGO City and Collectable Minifigures) in this update, including the exciting Classic Space torso. Since no one has done so yet, I painstakingly combed the decoration tool menu to see what I could find, and compile it into a single LDD file for your use. Please note that, unlike my usual self (constantly checking and double-checking and triple-checking the LEGO.com inventory to make sure everything's the right color), I was only interested in making sure I covered all available relevant decorations, so some of the colors may not be accurate. It is also very likely that, despite my best efforts, I could not find everything, so if anything's missing, please say so! [LXF Link] Edited March 16, 20168 yr by PeabodySam
March 16, 20168 yr One of my wanted Bricks: Plate Round W. 1 Knob (18674) was finally added, and other bricks were actually a pleasant surprise: Container Walls (23405), Inverted Roof (22889), Brick With Half Bow(24309), Left/Right Plate 2x2 27Deg (24299/24307), Plate With Half Bow Inverted (24201), Brick With Four Knobs (22885), Brick 1x2x3 (22886), Plate With Two Shafts (18649), Plate With Ball End (22890) and Mop Head (24085). As I intended to develop an Ideas set, some of these new bricks actually helped me reduce the brick count, which is very important as LEGO usually recommends large projects to scale-down. 18674 improved a section of my model while 24085 is very important as I used to use the Mini Broom as both a broom and a mop. But 22885 is my true saviour. In the past, there are several ways to "hang" a plate/flat tile on a brick. Take a 2x2 plate/flat tile as an example. 1. Place a Brick 1x2 With Two Knobs or a 1x2 Brick With Two Holes with two Connector Pegs With Knob inserted either on the top half or lower half of the plate/flat tile at the back. 2. Hang the plate/flat tile on an Angle/Angular plate (place behind the top half or lower half of the plate/flat tile for the 1/2 version). 3. Connect an Angular Plate Top 1/2 and an Angular Plate Bottom 1/2 with a Brick 1x2 in between then hang the the plate/flat tile on top. Pros and cons: First one leaves no gap between the brick and the plate/flat tile (so perfect for round plates/flat tiles) but is less secure. Second and third ones are more secure but leaves gap in between the brick and the plate/flat tile (will also leave corners showing behind round plates/flat tiles). The new 22885 not only reduces my brick count but leaves no gap in between the the brick and the plate/flat tile plus secures the plate/flat tile well. To sum up, although this update is still not perfect, it has helped me a lot, so A BIG THANK YOU TO LEGO anyway! P.S., Am I the first one to notice that the colour of "Silver Metallic" displayed in the new version is actually darker than the one before (therefore becoming more realistic)? March 16, 20168 yr Fantastic update! This comes at a bad time because I have a large project that needs to be completed soon at work but I'm going to be distracted by LDD now! There seems to be a lack of new Star Wars pieces. For that, I blame Disney or myself for not being able to find them.
March 16, 20168 yr No large figure lightsaber blades, but the Construct-a-Buzz dome parts? Ooh, I have an idea!
March 16, 20168 yr Thanks again to this update, I was thrilled to find out that LEGO has finally released the Wedge, Plate 2 x 2 (both Left and Right). There are probably some owners of certain clone brands that are laughing and pointing fingers because they've had those pieces for years My assumption comes from glancing at some of their building instructions stumbled upon on the internet.

Only in uncompatible colors :(

March 17, 20168 yr How come we get the new pieces introduced in the Dawn of Justice sets but nothing from the Civil War sets? I need Scarlet Witch's waist cape. We could use another update real soon with some new parts and big fixes.

Wow, were lucky we even got this update and now your asking, nay seemingly demanding an update already? way to be grateful that they are still updating the software for us.... Thank You LEGO!!! Please keep the support alive! btw, I noticed there are quite a few of the new pieces from this years releases, including the Brick Bank arch window, the Satyr's feet, the "tooth" looking tile from Mixels, and alot of Nexo Knights parts. even has the new flower piece with 6 stalks from last years Ferris Wheel and the inverted arch from the control booth. Very impressive to have the new pieces already in LDD. Noticed a glitch with the slurpee/slushie cup piece though, when you try to change the color of just the straw and cup it flashes that color but goes back to the last color, change the lid color and it changes the entire piece's color.... i hope its not a glitch with all the pieces...
March 17, 20168 yr I try to make an update for an LXF file that contains every part for CMF series 1-13 using the file shared by PeabodySam (thank for that) and other users (I don't remember who they were, sorry) as well as every torso and leg pritnings. But if someone started that already and almost finished, fell free to say!
March 17, 20168 yr I have started something. But it isn't finished. I'll post the file here this evening.
March 17, 20168 yr Could someone provide me an hight quality screenshot of the new bricks in 4.3.9 (from the file in the first post)? I need a png file, at least at fullHD resolution, with all graphics effect enabled and set to maximum.

March 18, 20168 yr I FOUND IT, I FOUND IT, I FOUND IT.....soo happy :P How the heck did I miss it, looked everything over 3 times :P The urge can sometimes blind us I had some parts I couldn't find no matter how hard I looked, so I ended up downloading the .lxf file from the Official LEGO Sets LDD thread here on Eurobricks that I knew contained the part. In Bricksmith (LDraw on Mac) I have a favorite parts list that makes things more convenient when building at a certain pace. Edited March 18, 20168 yr by Ulrik Hansen

March 19, 20168 yr I made a new updated file with all the minifigs in CMF series 1-13 and the LEGO Movie minifigs, futhermore all the minifig torso and leg printings I found. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Yooha/LDDhelp/collectible_minifigures_and_torsos.lxf Disclaimer: It contains only the decorations that a had so far and the ones PeabodySam shared with us a couple of days ago. There are some missing decals that I couldn't find myself in the software gallery either. I had some trouble identifying all the colors, especially the metallic ones, so please correct me if you find something wrong. And I couldn't find some of the new capes/collars. Edited March 19, 20168 yr by Yooha
March 19, 20168 yr Is there anywhere I can get a full list of decal numbers that are in LDD 4.3.9? This is from the previous version of LDD: LINK
March 19, 20168 yr Help. Anybody know how to get the big 56907 tyre (from 42000) on LDD? If not, can I import the file in to another CAD and then add the tyres?
March 19, 20168 yr While I'm excited about the update, the very first LXF I opened post-update promptly served me with a whopping "29 pieces have been removed from your model" notification. Up until this update that was never an issue with the model in question (which is a large one). Are there any reports of pieces being REMOVED from the latest update, and is there any way to identify exactly what got scrapped out of my model? I hate when this happens and this is easily the biggest chunk of "no no no bad you for using those pieces" I've experienced with LDD thus far.

March 19, 20168 yr @Resurgence Read this topic (btw... linked in the section index ) Read through that before making the post, but admittedly making use of a Mac is hamstringing me here on some of these accesses to those things. As a small update though, I started going through the model manually to try and identify pieces, and at least 12 of the removed pieces were the "2-color short legs" (the ones where you could color the upper/lower parts and the 'ankles' separately), so that piece probably got some kind of update. I've replaced all of those now.
