Hi everyone !

Here is my first MOC, not built yet bust just made with LDD.

It is taken from this real bus that has worked all around Milan in 80's years.

Well, it is quite a big model but thanks to the big size I could make the opening doors and the steering wheel.

It has 4 seats at the back, 3 on the right side (where there are doors), 6 seats on the left side and one driver seat.

Before building it I wanted to make the roof opening.

Every suggestion is welcomed !

looks good, I like that you gave it working steering. the only change I would make would be to smooth off the roof, less studs and maybe a transition area in front (1x2, 2x2, or 4x2 curved slopes)

Thank you for your opinion / suggestion.

About the roof it's a great idea !

About the transition area I haven't understood well what do you mean...

I thought about using some curved pieces but I haven't found the transparent color for the front glass

Instantly recognizable ... I immediately thought of Milan!

Great reprodution of a bus I had to take too many times when I went to university

Ahahah I took it many times too !

That's why I decided to made it with lego

Thank you !

great bus! Do you have the doors working as well?

Thank you Jasper !

In theory the doors mechanism works.

I'm not completely sure about it because I only tried it in LDD.

As soon as I will have the pieces I will test it from real.

When i did mine years ago i really had a hard time to get them functioning properly. I couldn't nail it! :damn:

You are damned right, that movement is pretty complex to be realized with lego bricks.

I made many researches all over the web and many many tests (on LDD) untill I reached this solution.

Excellent replica of the real bus. I hope you will make it soon with real bricks.

Thank you !

Some updates added:

iveco_480.12_moc_interior_v2.JPG

iveco_480.12_moc_engine.JPG

  1. Internal back part: put 2 usable seats instead of 4 because those were not usable from minifigs (not enough space).
  2. Internal / external back part: added the engine accessible from an opening hood
  3. Internal front part: added the internal door for the driver

Cool

Thank you ! :classic:

Recently I discovered that the door mechanism isn't working well, so I'm looking for something different.

Any suggestion are welcomed

Happy building !
