Vader Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Being the wally I am this is probally wrong, but aren't Robin and Nightwing the same people? Yes and no, confussed? X-D Ok here goes, there have been 3 Robins over the years. The first robin (Dick Grayson) gave up being robin and became Nightwing, the second robin (Jason Todd) was killed by the Joker and the third robin (Tim Drake) is still the Robin at this point in time. Others have worn the robin costume but those 3 above are seen as the real 3. Quote

Others have worn the robin costume but those 3 above are seen as the real 3. I suppose you could count Steph Brown (Spoiler), seeing as how she's 'in-canon.' Elseworlds Robins don't really count, so that's Carrie Kelly out. Quote
Nebsirob Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I wonder if they put Bagirl in the Harley Quinn set, since she used to have a Batcycle... Maybe they add Ivy, too (she used to team up with Harley a lot). Quote

I don't agree with that, but I'm sure that's how they would see it. Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I would like a poison Ivy minifig! I have yet to buy any 07 Batman sets, but I want a Batman minifig, so when a small set comes out I will get it! Quote
iamded Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 The Poison Ivy minifig is pretty cool. I only got one set (Arkham) but it looks like '08 is gonna change that! :-D ~Peace Quote

And I have reason to believe there may be one more set, seeing as the largest batman sets typically are building based (or were going to be building based, as seen in the battank set |-/ ) To the Brickmobile! >:-) Quote

Brainbox Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I think you will find that batman has far more than 6 batmobiles, he tends to get a few different ones each year so i bet hes had close to a hundred by now. Really, it's left up to the artists now. They're often just given free reign to draw whatever comes to mind Batmobile-wise. In fact, here's a very good site. Personally, I'd love to see Lego do the Justice Batmobile. Such a fantastic design, and it's from the marvelous Alex Ross (with pencils by Doug Braithwaite). Quote
Vader Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 That's a really nice and sleek batmobile, i agree one of those would be superb in lego form. Though i do wonder how he would change the tyres on that thing X-D Quote
Brainbox Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 That's a really nice and sleek batmobile, i agree one of those would be superb in lego form. If we are going to get more Batmobiles, personally, I think the important thing is to keep them all unique. You know, chose some of the heavily styled or 'ridiculous' Batmboiles as inspiration, like this one. The Batmobile just as much about fear as Batman is, so they should look mean, yet sleek and stylish, and should be at least somewhat utilitarian. Though i do wonder how he would change the tyres on that thing X-D Erm... actually, that's a very good point. :-D Quote

CF Mitch Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Lol :-P My favourite Batmobile would be the one from the animated series. If TLC would make that one in minifig-scale *wub* Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Lol :-PMy favourite Batmobile would be the one from the animated series. If TLC would make that one in minifig-scale *wub* The best Batman vehicle is the tumbler. *wub* *sweet* Quote
Mr Spielbrick Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 The Tumbler was the reason I did NOT go to see Batman Begins in cinemas. :P But I suppose I've forgiven the people responsible and am OK with it now. Still, I have to agree with CF WeaZZel - nothing beats the Batmobile from the Animated Series in my opinion! Quote

Mr Spielbrick Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 It is an extremely cool machine, it just doesn't fit my idea of 'Batman'. :-$ I very much like the atmosphere of the second Tim Burton film. Of course the special effects could be better, but I very much like the Burton Batman world. Try to imagine the Tumbler in that. See what I mean? So yes, I agree that the Tumbler is an awesome vehicle. I even like Batman Begins and see it as the best Batman movie so far. But if Tim Burton would come back and make another Batman film now, with modern techniques, a faster moving script and Depp as the Joker instead of Nicholson, that'd be geek heaven for me. Quote
Batbrick Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Still, I have to agree with CF WeaZZel - nothing beats the Batmobile from the Animated Series in my opinion! ___________ Yes, the Batman animated series was practically perfect, just the other day I purchased its feature length film Mask of the Phantasm, which easily decks Burton and Nolan onto the ground with its great style and excellent plot. That said, I did really like the Tumbler and can't wait to see it in lego form! :'-) To the Brickmobile! -Courtesy of Exobuilder who made it! >:-) Quote
