TLC can build whatever they want to, for all i care... there seems to be a market for all of these themes. they don't bother me at all. the problem is that they don't produce the things I want...

I'll have to agree with snefroe1 as well. each theme has its purpose. For example, BIONICLE helps bring more people to LEGO, and KK2 has a purpose as well.

yeah same here pirates i wish that they still had a line of mini-fig pirate sets i mean the old ones were pretty cool but its not has easy to get them :'( (i do realize you could get some off brick link but it would be nice if it was in stores)

DINO Attack, because I think it's really not nessesary for them to make a line which is based on Minifigs attacking dinosaurs with huge rocket-missile hybrids. Heck, I don't even like the Dino part of it! We've already for the set to build a whole array of dinosaurs, so I really don't get why we have it. But mind you, I can never be so angry as to base my entire "carrer" here solely on bashing Dino Attack. It just isn't civilized.

Personally, 4+ Pirates is VERY useful. Without it, we would never get those really funky chromed vaccum silver scimitars! Though is is kinda useless, at least they have some purpose. Also, younger fans can play with the same kind of stuff that there are for us.

Bionicle because I don't consider the pieces bricks (most of the other sets at least have bricks).

But it makes money for them, it's not taking away from other theme opportunities (it's like a company unto itself), and it's spawned a new generation of LEGO fans. I may not be into it, but it is good.

I voted for clickits. I mean... a theme for girls is fine, because there are many girl fans of lego. However, I dont think that they needed to go as overboard as they did with the commercials and such.

Money or not, I think they're Lego's worst product ever made. They remind me more of Knex or other brand of cheap toys. As far as taking away from anything, I don't think that any thing they make will do that (aside from taking kids away from standard bricks) that Lego built a company on.

I don't disagree that kids probably love them, and the comic books, and the cartoons. It's all about what and how they market. I'd rather see Lego market other more traditional products in the same manner. They could do it with Vikings, Star Wars, and others just the same and make them popular as well.

See, LEGO couldn't get the same type of fans for Vikings or even Star Wars if it was done in the same way as BIONICLE is. I know many BZP members who think LEGO system is for kids only, but like BIONICLE. Without BIONICLE, LEGO could never get those fans.

Voted Bionicle as well.

They're simply not Lego. Their 'fans' are not Lego fans. This line 'poisons' other lines (studless Technic). The success of Bionicle and Bionicle style of 'action' play makes the company to give up on more traditional approach to children and their play.

I believe they could without any serious problems drop the Technic compatibility (there is no System compatibility anyway), make 'em from cheaper plastic, put there 'Made in China' and almost nobody would notice.

Bionicle, for the reasons that jindroush outlined. all the bionicle fans that I know call themselves Bionicle fans, not lego fans.

"The success of Bionicle and Bionicle style of 'action' play makes the company to give up on more traditional approach to children and their play."

I completely agree. they should get rid of it and make another theme, maybe an ewok theme! ;)

Suddenly, I feel more attached to TheBrickster, dyip_90, jindroush, and Darth_Ewok. :P

But seriously, I do agree but I don't want to start another rant topic so me keep mouth shut.

I agree, LEGO has infracted upon other lines with BIONICLE, but I consider the COMPLETE FAILURE of their 4+/Jack Stone lines to be worse than BIONICLE - at least BIONICLE makes them money to heal those failures.

Very good points "Half Soldier" - to quote a line from the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

I agree with jindroush's points here. In fact, I thought they were made from cheaper plastic. I don't consider them Lego.

I was disappointed with the 4+ Pirate theme (because I would rather see classic pirates brought back), but these appeal to a younger audience, and at least they are Lego with some of the same parts.

(PS - completely unrelated: don't forget to visit the Train Murder Mystery if you have not already).

The pirates for me to, man those sets suck why cant we just have the normal pirate line back god how i miss that line :'(

I dont like bionicle either in fact i lothe it but like its already been said it makes money and that money is put into making other great themes that i do like, sometimes you just have to put up with sets you dont like just to get the ones you do.
