Thank you for all the kind words. My Lego B&Ps order now shows as shipped! :excited: Hoping it gets here this weekend, but most likely mid next week. :cry_sad:

What parts do you guys find cheaper. I never find the parts i want on b&p. If so they wont have the color. If they do have it it will be 20 cents and bl has it for .07284792

Am i doing something worng. Please help

I have found that a lot of the smaller pieces will be a better price on b&p like 1x1 with clip or something like that.

Honestly, you just have to compare the prices, especially since there is no established list detailing B&P prices for each individual piece. To optimize the amount of stores I am buying from when I planned to build some of the components for my AT-AT, I first generate a Bricklink Wanted list through BrickStock, find stores that have the most unique lots and reasonable prices, then painstakingly see how their prices compare to B&P. If the prices from the Bricklink store compare greater than B&P, I subtract those pieces from the wanted list, and with those, create a new list on Brickstock to use for my B&P shopping cart, this would also be the case if the particular Bricklink store does not have all the pieces I require. However, in another case when I find out which lots the particular Bricklink store does not have, I would create a new wanted list out of those items and find another Bricklink store that has them.

I hope that you will coherently understand my methods as I described,

and I hope this will help you!

Completed! It looks amazing and is truly huge. It was scary towards the end because 90% of the pieces I ordered exactly enough so as they would get down to the last few or run out I would sweet that one more would be needed. But in the end I had every single piece and a few extras.

I really enjoyed this build and will be soon deciding on my next. I was worried about a few of the substitutions I made, but all turned out good. The only thing I think I will change is the Dish. It looks very good with the sticker, but I will keep and eye on BL. When I first looked there was only one vendor at $380. Now a few and down to $250. If it drops below the $200 price point I will most likely grab one. Other than that all was perfect. None of the color changes were noticeable. I will point them out in the pics to follow. Lots of Pics! I am definitely glad I looked at lots of finished models first and notice 6-8 of the 16x1 DBG Technic pieces in the mandibles still show after the build, they are not completely covered in grebling and seen from behind. I ordered just those in DBG instead of black as I did for the rest. Ok onto the pics.

Looking good! For the dish, I have seen an awesome brick built one floating around the forums. Check out other brinklinked falcon threads but I think that one looks better than a sticker.

At some point I am going to build this but might be a couple years. Great job. Love all the pictures.

This bring me to my current project. Bricklinking the USC 10179 Millennium Falcon. I looked for about a week for an original set but $3k-$5k for a new one, about $2k for a decent used one, and $800-$1.2k for an already Bricklinked one, I figured I would do it myself. This way I get the joy of doing it all myself, and knowing what substitutions were made. I thought it would be fun and maybe useful to see what issues and substitutions I made, along with total cost in the current market.

Where did you see already bricklinked versions of this set for $800 to $1.2k

They are on ebay pretty often. I just saw a Bricklinked one sell for $900 like two weeks ago.

If i could get one in newish/good not dirty or faded/yellowing condition for around $800 I might bite and buy it, that is if I can make room to display it.

As said above I saw them on eBay. Most go in the $1k range. But depending on what substitutions were used some go as low as $800.

Amazing, what a project! Just finished ordering a MOC by Techlug for a 2.500 pcs AT-AT and that was already a major hassle so a big bag of kudos for you :)

Really interesting! It must be quite satisfying getting the bit you need, I would love to do it like five pages at a time
