I'm not Australian, but what's the reason Australians get the movie so late? Not only for this but all movies, it seems (although the release date of this one is exceptionally late).

I'm not certain but it could possibly have to do with movies having to be rated by the Australian Classification Board. Compared to America's MPAA, which is a private trade group that merely creates guidelines on what films are appropriate for what audiences, films and video games in Australia apparently have to be rated by the government-run classification board in order to even be imported in the first place.

Never mind I changed my mind about it. I love it  I just looked and I'm super surprised that Barbara didn't have that printing in the Scuttler set. I guess they maybe couldn't get permission from Harvard to have that printed.

Well, this is taking an interesting turn.

I was wondering if anyone knows where this takes place in the Lego Movie universe; like, is it before TLM, or after?

I don't believe we've had confirmation on this. But I personally believe that...

That the Finn in this movie will be Robin wanting to be a part of a family and wanting a better father figure in their life. I am just assuming this because of all of the emphasis on family

OR

It could just be the best Batman movie ever made and just be a Batman movie which is what I'm personally wanting.

Personally the only flaw I had with TLM was the lack of an amazing soundtrack. I loved all the music they put in the trailers but when you come to the movie there were only original songs which is okay I guess...

It's classic songs like these that make them really special like Shrek or Guardians of the Galaxy. Sorry I'm rambling...

I loved TLM's soundtrack. I still hum 'Emmets Morning' these days.

Yeah, this is probably going to be the best Batman movie ever.

Oh no don't get me wrong I love what we got with TLM. I love the Batman song and I hope we get more. I just think that the movie could have been better using the songs they had in the trailers. Like take Star Wars for example, I love the soundtrack for FA. But the trailers make me glassy eyed because of the nostalgic music. Anyways LBM best movie ever.

I'm thinking robin might be in the lego movie 2 as (if you are partial to spoilers, stop reading now) Nightwing. One of his abilities in lego dimensions has been revealed to being able to switch into this weird batman sort of suit which some (including me) believe to be Nightwing

I have acquired the digital version of the junior novelization - so if anyone wants to know any plot details early, just let me know!

I can't say anything about the quality of the film yet, but the general plot is quite good, and it was an enjoyable read regardless of what is changed in the final version of the movie. Some trailer and TV spot stuff is not in the junior novel but the movie will likely keep a lot of those lines regardless. Who knows? Likewise, there are some lines or scenes in the novel that might not actually be in the film.

Read a very interesting theory on brickset.

In this set review, a member named johnboy_walton says in the comments that

he noticed Catwoman and Mayor McCaskill have the same beauty spot, which could very well mean that they are the same character.

I noticed that what he said was correct. Could it be LEGO accidentally revealed a spoiler in one of their sets?

The characters are voiced by different people.

Mariah Carey is Mayor McCaskill while Shakira is Catwoman

Beautiful new TV Spot. A little spoilery if you look real close. I really like that Alfred suit, hopefully we get that suit in an upcoming set.

In the back you can see Catman carrying what looks to be a lightbulb confirming that there is a real world in this movie.... Oh well.

No... that's very much brick built. You can see the edges of the slope pieces that make up the shape of the lightbulb.

Sigh. Why is this the first time Harley gets some attention outside of a few frames of motion?

Because I doubt she comes in until late in the second act or the beginning of the third act.

Hear me out - she doesn't appear in the big group of villains that Joker summons to crash Gordon's retirement party at the start of presumably Act II, and she is only seen in this clip and her hammer-smashing outside of Arkham. My theory is that Harlem Quinzel turns into Harley Quinn at Arkham when Joker is locked away, which explains this nurse outfit.

What Penkid said, plus you can also see round plate pieces stacked on each other on the bottom. However this doesn't mean there's not a real world in the movie. Actually, hasn't that already been confirmed? I think TLM movies are supposed to be in one 'cinematic universe'. Official announcemnet + actual grass in the teaser confirms that Ninjago movie is in 'real world', and there aren't even any Ninjago characters in TLM (besides green ninja in few scenes). And Batman is one of the main characters in TLM, I think it's implied this is Finn's universe.

I just hope they don't reference the real world too much in the movie. I don't care if the movie is supposed to be just a kid playing with Legos, as long as that isn't blatantly shown. That fits well with the main TLM, but not with this, unless there is some really genius and well directed plot twist at the end.

I don't know if anyone else saw on Twitter but there are some kind of events being held where there will be activities and things in anticipation for the movie. One of the activities is sing-alongs, now this doesn't at all surprise me since we hear in one of the trailers Joker say "Don't let him start singing." I don't know about anyone else but I am very excited to hear some more sick beats from Batman.

When do soundtracks for movies typically come out? Before or after the movies' release?

Do you have a link? I looked on Twitter but I can't find anything like that.
