strangely Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Do you think we could see characters that Batman has met before make cameos like Scooby? Hey it be amazing if we could get Scooby in his bat man cosplay. :P It's possible, Scooby is a part of Batman history (They've even had a few recent team-ups). Plus that's a WB property too. Quote

legonerd54321 Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 along with a photo I don't think we've seen before. We've seen it before, it's in the trailer when Batman is running along his logo. In other news.... https://twitter.com/iTunesTrailers/status/755092429775118336 Get ready!! Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 I wonder if it is a new trailer or maybe even pictures of the new sets Quote
Cammo Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 You guys sure have to follow the official Instagram page: 'reallegobatman' Here's pictures I stumbled upon (SDCC booth with a banner of the movie). Quote
Ordinareo Posted July 20, 2016 Author Posted July 20, 2016 (edited) There are some new details regarding what we can expect to see from The LEGO Batman Movie. Producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller in a recent interview with Collider has given some little tidbids about the movie. First, there are no limits to what eras of Batman will be covered. They also stated that the movie is pretty much a 90-minute Easter egg and it covers anything up to Batman v Superman as well as the future of Batman, whatever that means. The LEGO Batman Movie won’t be out for quite a while so we can expect many more little teasers and tidbids of it until then. Hopefully, we’ll get to see something for it from San Diego Comic Con next month. Source: The Brick Fan That's cool! Edited July 20, 2016 by Ordinareo Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 (edited) Interesting figures. Joker and Robin look especially different, which is nice. Also, it might be heresy, but I won't be surprised if this turns out to be one of the best Batman films. Something tells me that despite the humor, this will really "get it". CM4Sci Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 There seem to be two frames of the same scene out there, where does the top one come from? Quote
Ordinareo Posted July 20, 2016 Author Posted July 20, 2016 What Robin is the Robin in The LEGO Batman Movie based off of, or is it a new design? Quote

8BrickMario Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 An accidental adoption? That's hilarious. Joker looks interesting. Sharp teeth and sloppy makeup. Quote
Nerd-with-a-Pencil Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 My thoughts so far: 1: Joker's freaky. 2: Why with the robin goggles? 3: Why with aaaaaaaalllllllll the new pieces? Seriously, most of these aren't even necessary (oversized and clunky utility belt absent from TLM, oversized and clunky Alfred collar, oversized and clunky Joker coattails--sense a pattern here?). I think this will introduce more new molds than at least 3 CMF series. Quote
Canticleer blues Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) CM4Sci, you might be onto something there! I checked USA Today's coverage of the news against /Film's, and it turns out there's more than just the Robin image that's different. Weirder still is that other outlets tend to have only one or the other's set- Gizmodo, for instance, has the USA Today version, while Collider has the /Film ones. There's too many sites to check so I can't be sure, but that seems to be the main difference, from what I saw. Also worth noting is that /Film's images seem to be the original size unmodified pics. Look at all the details you can see that are either out of frame or cut out in USA Today's article (among them the Joker's license plate, BG detail that makes it clear that they're in an industrial area, and even an entire extra car!). You can also see a bit more of the back of the Batmobile in the Robin closeup shot too. Edited July 21, 2016 by Canticleer blues Quote
rob-ot5000 Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 According to the SDCC LEGO Press Release (via BrickFan), they are going to reveal two new sets at SDCC: the Batmobile and the Joker Notorious Lowrider. Is it just me, or do the brief glimpses of the Joker's car remind anyone else of the Joker's car in Suicide Squad? Probably just me. Quote

BaneShake Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Set pictures reveal a few characters for the movie. Man-Bat is exactly as he appeared before, Batgirl is indeed black to match Rosario Dawson, and we're getting the Kabuki Twins, an obscure-ish pair of assassin/bodyguards who have only appeared so far in The Batman. I can't wait to see footage involving these guys! Quote
Nerd-with-a-Pencil Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Welp, found a set I want (FINALLY, a modest Harley Quinn!): Quote
rob-ot5000 Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) New pics of both sets on Brickset. I'd have to go find the pic-posting FAQ, so I'll wait for someone savvier to post them here. ANYWAY. Holy cow, this wave is going to bleed me dry. These are odd and awesome, and I love the tone! These are probably both a "buy" for me. That Batgirl is pretty amazing. Im pretty sure it could pass for Batgirl '66 or Batgirl of Burnside. Either way, I like this WAY more than the one Batgirl we have already. Joker and Harley are...strange, and I'm not totally sold on their looks, but Harley's hairpiece is so incredibly interesting that I would love to have it, even if I don't know what for. Joker is "meh" aside from the hair, but his car is fantastic! As for the Batmobile, it sure is an aggressive-looking beast! I'll be getting that Robin figure whether I get the set or not, but the rest of the set (namely the vehicle) is cool enough that I might get the whole thing depending on the price. The Kabuki twins look interesting enough, I suppose, but seeing that Man-Bat is such a bummer. The only really weak point in the whole reveal, personally. Maybe it's because literally everything else is new or different, but that's just disappointing. Or maybe it's because I really dislike that figure....AND I already have him All in all, looks badass, and I can't wait to see more of these! EDIT: I know it's unlikely, but I sincerely hope those are actual zebra prints in Joker's car and not zebra-print stickers. That would be SO. WONDERFUL. Edited July 21, 2016 by rob-ot5000 Quote
Kintobor Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 For those asking about the googles (if that's still being discussed), I believe that's a nod to Frank Miller's interpretation of Robin in The Dark Knight Returns. Quote
Actor Builder Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I really like the Robin design. I find it humorous. Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 That Harley is brilliant. Her bat, her hair, her skates...everything! I like the Kabuki Twins, too. Joker is nice, and I like his car. The other set interests me less, but I still intend to get it. Is this Batgirl intended to serve as a substitute for the missing '66 version? Quote
Aanchir Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Is this Batgirl intended to serve as a substitute for the missing '66 version? It's closer to her 2014 redesign IMO, what with the very utilitarian look of the boots and the angular contours of the costume in general. Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I suppose so, but that color scheme seems directly referential to the 1966 version. If anything, it'll be passable as Yvonne Craig's Batgirl should one want to have her with the Batcave. It's interesting how many things from Batman lore are being blended here. Harley's got her New 52 hair and skates, Joker has his Suicide Squad tattoos, Robin's goggles look like Carrie Kelley, and there are countless other references to the past, all of which is stated to be canon in this universe.
