Posted November 26, 200717 yr OK, so I couldn't help myself - here is the Sentinel Class Recon'/Utility Vehicle (RUV), based loosely on a Jeep, its purpose is to scout enemy territory, act as a patrol vehicle and as a general runaround. The Sentinel is lightly armoured and can deflect some small arms fire but relies on its superior speed and agility to get out of trouble. With a high ground clearance and four-wheel drive the Sentinel can traverse the battlefield off-road without difficulty. The Sentinel's windshield is capable of deflecting incoming rounds up to 9mm in calibre. The side of the Sentinel features heavy armour plate to protect the driver. The rail to the rear can be used for mounting some of the heavier small arms in use by the Tabletown Army. To the left, entrenching and repair tools are mounted as well as the radio for the inbuilt comms unit. As well as the inbuilt comms unit, the vehicle carries a separate walkie-talkie as a backup. For size comparison purposes, here is a Sentinel with an Aggressor MBT, an Infiltrator APC and a Triumph LAV. Here is the complete family of vehicles serving the Tabletown Armed Forces to date - I deconstructed two Triumph LAVs to build the Aggressor, but the LAV force will soon be restored to full strength again. The Sentinel will soon become a familiar sight in the roads and streets of Tabletown. PLMKWYT! Dr. S. Edited November 26, 200717 yr by Doctor Sinister
November 26, 200717 yr I like all of your tabletown stuff......especially all of the green *wub* . *y*
November 26, 200717 yr Author I like all of your tabletown stuff......especially all of the green *wub* . *y* Thanks! It's hard to dredge up though without hitting Bricklink - which I haven't done yet. Dr. S.
November 26, 200717 yr Wow! Another great addition to the Tabletown army! Small and zippy, this will come in very useful! *y* And, as I always say in my comments to your creations, with this addition your army will certainly be able to take anything those Best-lock jokers can throw at you! :-D ~Peace
November 26, 200717 yr Very nice Jeepy design...if I was ever going to vote for someone to overthrow my Legoville in a military coup, I'd definitely vote for your Tabletown. Especially because my guys are total cowardly wusses. Still. Nice military.
November 26, 200717 yr Another! When will this stockpiling stop?! :-P I prefer this to your last one, but your tank is still the best! (I'm not a big fan of the front how it stands proud of the front...)
November 26, 200717 yr Author Another! When will this stockpiling stop?! :-P I prefer this to your last one, but your tank is still the best! (I'm not a big fan of the front how it stands proud of the front...) No, it's not ideal but it has to be that way or it interferes with the wheels. Dr. S.
November 26, 200717 yr No, it's not ideal but it has to be that way or it interferes with the wheels.Dr. S. Ya know... I didn't think of that... :-$
November 26, 200717 yr Author Ya know... I didn't think of that... :-$ :-D I could make it a stud longer and then refit the front back flush, but it might upset the symmetry of the body. or I could simply modify the way that 4x1 tile attaches - put a 2x1 plate behind it and still have a 4x1 plate above it for the lights. Hmmm... Dr. s. Edited November 26, 200717 yr by Doctor Sinister
November 26, 200717 yr A plain cool vehicle with an especially good design of the side parts. Shovel on! *y*
November 26, 200717 yr Excellent creation as always! I'm a fan of the whole green theme and it's great to see some of those out-of-work Luke stunt-doubles finally getting some action. *y* Now you just need to enact a road-widening project so they can get through traffic a little easier. ;-)
November 27, 200717 yr Very well done recon vehicle. I always think it's hard to build something so small and simple yet try to make it detailed and appealing, you did a great job with it. Also, you've motivated me to get back to work on my own army! My friend's been achin for a LEGO war but I've just been lazy.
November 27, 200717 yr Attn Sinner:This better? :-) I think that looks a lot better. *sweet* There was too much of a gap last time. Now that your defensive force is complete do you plan on making a story with them? I would say it looked better before. Now it
November 27, 200717 yr So how soon do you predict the "War with Bestlockland" will break out? Whenever it does, You'll probably have enough vehicles to defeat them without too much trouble...
