Vader Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 Ok so heres a few more pics for you all, firstly a simple shot of what a different Anakin head would look like with the new hair piece. And a shot from the back of the instruction booklet, here you can see the pop out device for R2. Quote

Derek Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Ok so heres a few more pics for you all, firstly a simple shot of what a different Anakin head would look like with the new hair piece. Thanks for the pics, but That hair looks hideous on old Anakin! :-P DP8 Quote
Faramir Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 This looks like a nice little set to me, but a bit too small compared to the JSF of Obi-Wan Great review *y* Quote
dunamis Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Nice review, thanks for taking time and sharing your find with us. Looks like a nice model and I'm glad they finally fixed the stupid missiles from falling out. LEGO Star Wars 08 is going to be another expensive year! Quote
Corvus Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Nope, they stay in which surprised me. They're not in hard but they are in enough to allow swooshing, something i tried straight away :-) Yeah, they're a really weird peice, I got two in the new MM sets. The clip in, and are an improvement over the technic rods... But other than a flick-fire missile, they have no other uses. |-/ I think the hairpeice is growing on me. It's not too bad now. I'm sure by the end of the day I'll love it. Quote
baby Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 (edited) whoa vader, that is a nice set. Can i see the picture of the box, especially the back part. Do you mind taking the picture? Thanks for the review. Edited November 27, 2007 by baby Quote
VBBN Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Nahhh... they won't come close to making contact with them X-D Yeah, and there is only two FM, so that would onl knock out two of their nine lives... Maybe launch R2 at them?? One more question: Is that round yellow plate near the front the upper part of a turn table, or is it new? Thanks! Quote
Starwars4J Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Yeah, they're a really weird peice, I got two in the new MM sets. The clip in, and are an improvement over the technic rods... But other than a flick-fire missile, they have no other uses. |-/ Of course they have other uses :-D I'm already thinking of the great greebing opportunities they'd afford for space MOCs :-P Quote
Piranha Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Nice Review!! I like the ship, its very sleek and well designed but I would have prefered the Azure Angel The catoon Anakin is bleh, but I really like the torso and hair *sweet* Hunt for 08 On! Piranha Quote
Corvus Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Of course they have other uses :-D I'm already thinking of the great greebing opportunities they'd afford for space MOCs :-P Bah. I think they're ugly. Therefore, they have no use. :-P Quote
Lt. Veers Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Nuts, here comes yet another set to empty my wallet. |-/ X-D Quote
iamded Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Thanks for the fantastic review Vader! What a lucky guy you are! X-D This looks nice and sleek, the ship's cool, the hairpiece is cool, and the head, well, it's cool too, but I'd prefer a different one. Ah well, good thing Lego is interchangeable! :-D ~Peace Quote
Oky Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Wow, that is a surprise!! A review already, wow! I did not expect that, and a very good review too! Also, slightly off topic, but I found this lego model on Amazon: Does anyone know anything about it, all I know is that it is a Lego outrider model. It's an alternate model of 6211: Imperial Star Destroyer. Somebody is trying to make easy money by reselling it as a new set. Quote
LEGO Maniac JEM Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 (edited) That hair and face look more fantastic than what I thought they would be! *wub* I hope TLC uses that hair in other themes as well. I must have at least one of that set! :-$ Is the hair made out of the usual hard plastic or is it like the softer Exo-Force hair? I hope that TLC also makes that hair in grey. Starwars4J Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Is the hair made out of the usual hard plastic or is it like the softer Exo-Force hair? I think it was mentioned to be the usual hard plastic (which is a relief to me) Quote
hollisbrick Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Sweet i love this set now!!!! thanks for the review *vader* Vader *vader* i didnt before you did the review!!! does the R2 look diferent, to me it does Quote
Vader Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 I think it was mentioned to be the usual hard plastic (which is a relief to me) Yep it's hard plastic, far better than that crap soft hair used in the exo line. Quote
Oky Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Hey *vader* Nice review! I got one question though: How well can you "fire" those new missiles? Quote
Vader Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 Hey *vader* Nice review! I got one question though: How well can you "fire" those new missiles? Not well at all to be honest, but i would prefer it this way. I find it much better because now it dosen't fall out when swooshing, i always hated it when they fall off other sets. Quote
